    Update!

They had to delay my interview to yesterday at 4:30. I went there and the interview went wonderful! I met both the vets, even though I already knew one of them. They told me they had some more interviews to do and they would call me and let me know either way in about ten days. I didn't have to wait ten days! They called me back today and said "Lexie, would you like a job?" I said "I would LOVE a job!" "she said "ok, can you start tomorrow morning?" Of course!

I am too excited! Beyond thrilled!

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

    My First Day!

Well, I'm back from my first day at my new job! It's everything I expected and more! I already have a hand full of stories. I would have been a little more awake with more sleep. I went out last night...BIG mistake! I ended up not getting home until midnight and didn't get to bed until 2am. I got up at 5:30am.

Anyway, on with my stories. I got there at 7:00 and cleaned cat cages and fed the cats. The surgeries got over quickly and everyone came out of anesthesia just fine. The other new employee was asking me all kinds of questions. She loved the fact that I showed dogs, had worked at a pet store, and volunteered at multiple humane societies.

There was also an older lady that said her cat was "stopped up". Asked if I could come out to her car and get him. He was too heavy for her. I though "eh, just an older lady that can't carry tha crate. no problemo!" I got out there and HOLY COW this cat was HUGE! The fattest cat I've ever seen! He wieghed in at a whopping 24.3lbs!!! He was bigger than my Beanie! He got an enima and is all better now.

There was also a big brown ausi/golden retriever mix that was a hit by a car. Poor big guy broke his pelvis and still walked into the vets. He's a trooper.

Wow! Glad to hear your first day went so well!

Also, be glad for the inventory. It'll make you more proficient for helping out.

Oh, I'm very glad I got to do the inventory today! I got to know where EVERYTHING is kept! I counted 1,326 pills of this sort, 407 pills of that sort, measured out 140cc of of every kind of injection, and I even counted finger cots.haha
