I haven't watched baseball since i was about five years old. I got bored with it and now on principle alone i try to stay away from major sports teams.

I have returned to baseball in 2007 though. Or is it 2007? ;-)

THIS is what I've been waiting for!

    It is SOOOOO much fun.

I went to my first game during the county's 150th anniversary party a couple months ago.

Please, if your dog is arthritic look into getting it Elk Velvet Antler. Look up my posts on it, PM me, or look it up on a search engine; but please if you love your dog and want it to live many more years consider this option. I've seen so many posts on here about dogs needlessly suffering. I can't make a new post about EVA every time so this plea is going here. EVA also helps with other ailments such as anemia.

Great Giants game last night.....they lost.

With two out in their half of the ninth they score four and tie...only to lose...

The Cubs are only half a game behind Milwaukee in the NL Central ... they play today, but the Brewers don't. Like every Cubs fan I hate to get my hopes up ... but it's hard not to with the way they've been playing. GO, CUBBIES!

Meanwhile, the Sox lost to Toronto at home yesterday. They won two of the three games in the series, though. They're off today. This has been such an up-and-down year for them.

We also have a minor-league team, the Kane County Cougars, who are part of the Oakland A's organization. Those games are a blast because the tickets and parking are cheap compared to the Cubs and Sox, the food's good, and there are always fun things going on like give-aways or watching children run on the base paths after the game. They have fireworks several times each year, and you never know who you'll see playing that might someday be in the major league. Plus, our Cougars have won five out of their last 6! Yeay!
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.

I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

The Lost Angeles Angels of Anaheim trimmed their rosters over the weekend...
They began to get rid of the roaches and rats in the stadium, Honest!

Coco Crisp of the Bosox was almost run over by the mascot of the Mariners.
For once, a moose runs over a man, justice?

The criticism of Bud Selig not being a huge fan of Barry Bonds isn't justified.
The media was ticked off at Bonds being an AH to reporters and writers for the longest time.

Now that Bonds is kissing tail and trying to make up for his mistreatment of the media, he's become Poor Barry. Now BB is the greatest, most loved and most misunderstood baseball player on the planet.

He should just come clean about using 'roids and get it over with.

Aaron will always be the greatest home run hitter in pro ball, end of subject.

RICHARD, I totally agree with you. Barry might as well admit that he uses them, everyone else in the country knows it. When he played for Pittsburgh he didn''t fool with steroids, he used natural ability to play baseball. He comes to S.F. and becomes a boob. Hank Aaron to me will remain the real record holder.

HE grew the 'boob' because of the steroids.

Last night the Giants went into extra innings.

Wynn got a bases loaded walk off single.

The team mobbed him at home. For winning one game.

    What record?

Saduharo Oh, The man with the MOST home runs in pro ball (850 something in the Japanese leagues) sent his congrats to Boobie Bonds.....

The IRS has put out a press release saying that Matt Murphy, the guy that ended up with the BB ball has to pay

    210,000 dollars
even if he does not sell it.

They claim that the 12 dollars baseball is earned income and that because of the expected price of 600,000 dollars, Murphy is in the hole for that amount for being the owner.

    Three words for Mr. Murphy.
    Stay in Australia.

Sell the ball, Tell the IRS to kiss you below the belt-either side-and buy some beer, shrimp and a barby, Find a nice Sheila, thatched hut near the Great Barrier Reef and don't look back.

(sigh) the good baseball players wearing Chicago Cubs uniforms have all left and our lovable losers are back ... they've lost 3-in-a-row to Houston ... oh, well, it was fun while it lasted.
