Another big day for Tehya...lots of pics

    Wooo PT

I had another big day today. Some was good, some was almost terrible! Mom says I'm gonna be the death of her cuz I almost gave her a heart attack today.

Here's the story with no pics for obvious reasons(many pics later in this post!): Mom and Dad went to town this morning. Dad needed to get all kinds of supplies for his summer job cuz he's leaving in two days. So I couldn't go cuz there was not gonna be any room in the truck for me! Instead I went into my pen with Pacer and Chum. We are buddies and I don't mind hanging out with them, except Pacer is still a conehead which makes wrestling with him kind a tricky. Anyhoo, about three hours later, they came home and Mom couldn't see me. So she came back to the pen to see what was going on. Somehow and I ain't telling how, I had wiggled under the gate and into the little pen where Mom keeps the dog sled and harness and stuff. Somehow I managed to get my head stuck in the bridle line on Mom's sled(That's the line that comes out of the front that the main line gets attached to!) I couldn't move!!! If I tried to move I couldn't breath! I had to lay very still! Mom thought just my collar was caught so she undid it, but that didn't help at all! Fortunately, she always keeps a knife on the dog sled and she hadn't cleaned out all her gear yet this spring. So she whipped out the knife and cut the ropes! PHew!!!

I was so happy to be free that I knocked her on her butt and gave her tons of kisses. Mom was crying, but she says they were relieved tears, not sad ones. Dad fixed the gate right away so not even an ant could wiggle under it! Mom will have to make a new line for her sled before next winter, but she says that doesn't matter!

What matters is I am fine. No ouchies or anything!

Happy part of my day in the next post...

Ok, now on to the good stuff.....Once Mom had calmed down and made sure I was okey dokey, she decided we should go for a walk. We haven't been anywhere fun for days!

The other dogs were very mad that I got to go for a walk! We could hear them howling for a long time!

It was kinda weird, there was mud and snow! Fun! I like both of those things. Diddya notice I don't have a leash on? That's right, I got to go off leash for the first time today! I was a very good puppy and came back every time I was called!

Daisy came with us. She doesn't like me too much, but she's getting over it. Today she wouldn't play with me, but at least she didn't snap at me like she used to!

We went to the lake place again. It was still frozen, but since I almost killed myself once today, I decided that walking on thin ice wasn't a good idea!

Here I am waiting for a treat. I come real quick when I hear that crinkly sound. Yummy Chummies are the best things ever!

    More walkies pictures coming....

    Continuing our walk...

Even in the bush, I can find stuff to chew on. We took a different trail home. I had never been on it before! It's a good thing Mom and Daisy knew where we were going, cuz I didn't have a clue!

Somehow we ended up back here--that's my house!

I finally got to check out this big pile of dirt. It's in our yard but outside the fence so I couldn't get to it before. It's very cool. I can see me digging some good holes in there!

As soon as I got in the yard, I started chewing on Anvik! I love him!

He's fun! This is what I do when Mom says "Tehya, Get Annie!"

Mom's gonna have to buy him a new collar soon! I like chewing on it!

That's my adventures for today. I'd like to have some more walking adventures soon, but I could do without the near death experience ever again! I think my humans agree with that plan too!

Tehya, you've become one of the most loved dogs on Pet Talk. You can't go around taking chances like that. What would we do without your beautiful face and wonderful stories? I, too, can see why your mom would cry tears of happiness.

It looks like you had a fun time on your walk. What a nice mommy for taking you for a walk instead of grounding you for getting into trouble. Oh, sorry that's what we do with our kids when they get into trouble not our doggies. You are lucky to have such a great area to walk in.

Stay out of trouble for awhile. Will be looking forward to some more happy adventures of Teyha!

Oh Tehya, good thing you kept your cool & stayed very very still! Your poor mama, dont scare her like that any more! She must have nerves of steel because it seems like one or another of her furkids is always in some kind of distress! Your off-leash walk looked like lots of fun, you are such a good girl. You & Annie are just too darn cute together, we love pictures of you two playing! Try to have a calm, uneventful day, sweetie.

*edit* Star & Sherman want me to add that they think Yummie Chummies are the best treat, too!

She's looking wonderful. That is a scary sight to come home to, I imagine! Glad she's ok and had a great walk with you and Daisy. Can't wait for the day that Daisy will play with her.

Tehya, I hope you learned a valuable lesson today sweetie. DON'T PUT YOUR HEAD WHERE IT DOES NOT BELONG!!!! I can just imagine how scared your mom was. It was very good of you to lavish her with kisses after she'd rescued you.

WOOOOO and Whew, Tehya! I was thinking about you and your dog and cat siblings this morning. I'm glad you are all right after your adventure with the bridle line. Please, please be careful, sweety. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you or to ANY of your dog and cat brothers and sisters. I loved your walk photos. I'll enjoy looking at this sweet photo of you. Hugs and more hugs. Some for Annie, Daisy, Earle and everybody too.

Wow, Tehya, you were a very smart girl to have stayed so still until Mom got home (I know another puppy who got his collar stuck last week and he wasn't so lucky or smart). Your walk sure does look like it was a lot of fun. I just love watching you explore new things.

Yikes Tamara! Now I remember why I keep saying my next dog won't be a pup. I am glad everything turned out alright.
