Kym, you are a wonderful person for helping CatsinDenver with her dilemma. While reading through this thread I was wondering when Jupiter was on her way to you. (or is Jupiter a boy, sorry) So you will have lots more fuzzy kitties in your house. I am jealous!!
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Penny arrived about 8:30 with 6 very put out fuzzies LOL They all had a LOT to say about their trip and none of it was happy

To hear them tell it they had been in the car for the last 5 years and never thought they would arrive at any destination! Mom and kitties are settling in for a evening.

Everyone arrived safely, a few of them Hagrid, Cricket and Bob have ventured out of their crates to find hiding spots from to wail and tell their troubles to. Poor babies

Penny was tired but said the guys all settled down to quietness after about an hour on the road. We will take pics tomorrow as none of us were up to picture taking(especially the honored ones LOL)

I am pretty certain that Penny will update as soon as she arrives back home to Denver sometime tomorrow.

I must say what an honor and a thrill to meet her, she is not only an amazing Catmom but an incredibly nice person.

Thanks all, and I am off to bed!

PS Cindy, Jupiter arrives tomorrow I will give him an extra hug , if Jen hasn't diverted his transport to her house

I missed the begining of this trip (due to a VERY uncooperative computer. ) but I am glad all arrived safely! And thanks for reminding me that TODAY is the day I snatch Jupiter. **EVIL LAUGH **

Can't wait for the CID (Soon to be called CI-Illinios) photos.

Penny is on her way home, no pics top post as her poor babies have found every nook and cranny to hide in................................... I will take a few as soon as we see them.

I cannot thank PT enough for all of your prayers thoughts and amazing responses to make this happen for Penny and her kids. THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Through all of this I was able to give back a very small part of what PT has given me, and I made a wonderful friend, who can be more blessed?

Jupiter will arrive in less than half an hour, my family is complete, a friends family is safe and I am a very blessed woman.

    Just my thoughts and gratitude.

Home at last! Although with no cats here, it doesn't feel like home anymore.

Kym and Jas are two of the Best People on the Planet! I'll never be able to thank you enough for taking in my displaced kitties. I hope they eventually come out of hiding and show a little gratitude.

I must tumble into bed now. I'll post more tomorrow after I regain consciousness.

Well, that was quite a weekend! I don't usually manage to put 1800 miles on a car in three days.

The cats yelled nonstop for the first hour or two after we got on the road. I figured I'd better stick pretty close to the speed limit because I really didn't want to get pulled over. "Cats, officer? What cats?"

After awhile, everyone quieted down. I think they had resigned themselves to the idea that we were all going to be living in a car. Stopping for gas set off the chorus again, as did the smoke smell from a roadside grass fire.

It was with deep relief that I finally arrived at Casa Goodnow, where I was given the warmest of welcomes. They're in the process of transforming a wonderful old building into a haven for humans and critters. And what a happy bunch of critters they have! I got to meet cats, dogs, and birds (but not Jupiter, who hadn't yet arrived).

My guys weren't nearly as happy. They all scrambled for cover and mostly stayed there. They're all pretty shy of people anyway, and I'm sure that a long day in the car didn't improve their moods one bit. I just hope they don't stay grumpy too long--and that they will have forgiven me by the time I show up to fetch them! At least the last leg of the journey, once I've found a house, will only take an hour or so.

I've promised to critter sit for Kym and Jas absolutely any time they need me once I've moved to Illinois. I'm just so grateful that they're willing and able to look after my crew.

And thank you, all you PetTalkers who have offered help, prayers, and warm wishes during this crazy time. Gary, please let the Pet Angels know that they did an outstanding job, as usual.

Oh, by the way, the infamous Canadian nip has another convert. I tucked a couple of Gary's catnip mice into a bag along with some other toys. Not long after I arrived, one of the Goodnow kitties found his way into the bag and pulled out the plastic baggie that contained the mice! So I told my guys that they would have to be nice guests and share the good stuff.

This is all absolutely wonderful. Pet Talkers are magical!

Hee hee - CatsinDenver - they should be there just long enough to store up all sorts of complaints when you come to fetch them for the journey to their new home. And you, of course, will know not to believe one word, one "but meeoowwwwmmmmmiee!" of it!

What a lovely gift, knowing your 6 have a safe haven for a time - even if they don't quite believe it's safe to come out yet!

Well, I am batting a full 50% I have been able to meet and talk to 3 of the 6 Katie, Hagrid and Gatsby have all ventured out long enought to be seen while they eat and use the box, the other 3 wait until they think I am not there yet LOL. So Jas nicked named them the 3 Am Kitties.

Every one is doing great, Gatsby thinks his mom left him with the meanest medicine lady EVER!!! we will take some pics when we can,

I am thrilled that you made it home ok, and glad to hear the angels did their duty as well on the return trip

Jupiter has arrived and Dad and he spent the day yesterday bonding.
