Who's actually going to set up the meeting? He/she should get a head count on who can come for sure on whichever weekend is chosen, and then check rates/room availability, etc and let the rest of us know how much it will cost, etc. (No, I'm not volunteering

I definitely am uncomfortable with one huge cabin for everybody to stay in...if we go to a hotel and each have our own room for us and our pet, at least we can lock the doors if one of you turns out to be a total slime-bag predator (not that I'm accusing anyone, but better safe than sorry).

Hmm.. good thought. I guess I'll be arranging it since I'm a Tennesseean myself..

. The only problem with a hotel is I don't think Roxy would be allowed, and my mom definitely wouldn't allow her. So it might just be Lily, my mom, and I. So does anybody know dates, times? I need to start checking around and knowing how many people can definitely come..

Did some hotel research, and this one looks great. I'll email about group pricing when the date gets more closer. They're pet-friendly, and they're located near many attractions in Pigeon Forge.

Thanks for taking on the responsibility of getting us organized; it'll probably take some effort

I don't think any weekends in November will be a conflict for me, but I think it would be wise to try for earlier in the month, since all those outlet malls will be CRAZY as Thanksgiving sales start approaching. I would prefer not to deal with the traffic around there during Christmas shopping season, but whatever you guys decide, I'll try to be there.

I don't know if I can do November anymore. My mom needs a new car badly, so ours won't make it to Pigeon Forge. I'll have to ask her and see what I can do.. It would HAVE to be a weekend, because otherwise I have school, so maybe a Friday, Saturday, and we leave early Sunday or something? Of course we can't do Thanksgiving weekend.. and then.. hmm... I'll just have to check the calendar. If you know you're definitely coming, please list so here, along with the number of dogs or other animals you are bringing. I'll probably only be bringing Lily along with my mom. I really need an exact number soon so I can email the hotel and check out the prices. Sooo..?

I intend to come, with just Belle (1 dog). Maggie is no longer my responsibility

, and is living with my almost-ex (just waiting for the papers to be signed), and I just am not up to taking the kitten somewhere like that; she'd go nuts. I guess we'll just have to brave the Thanksgiving to Christmas shopping season craziness or wait until after New Year's (I don't think you all want to wait that long, though).

I am also in near-desperate need of a new ve-hickle

but have to wait for the title on the joint-owned SUV to be put in my name before I can sign off on the trade. Hopefully will have one by the time we have our meeting. As long as finances hold out and gas doesn't double in price (or anything else unforeseen happens), we'll be there. (As they say, as long as the creek don't rise and the cows don't get out.) LOL

so obviously we didn't make it to the dog show in Nov. i'll DEFINATLY be at the Summer '07 meeting! There is no way in hell i'm missing it!

The summer of 07' meeting sounds a little more do-able for me. I've only got about 2 1/2 weeks left til my due date.. Can't wait for this little girl to come OUT!

Robin's mother passed away on the 22nd of September and the rest of her family has gone nuts so we wouldn't have came up there for Thanksgiving any way. We were there in September though.

So where exactly is the town? and which month? Summer or Nov?
There will be 3 hoomans and 2 dogs with us (unless we have another foster) and of course the 2 birds
