I would have to say the little books of Lifesavers candy rolls. As kids, we would each get one every Christmas. A few years ago, I gave each of my parents one as a stocking stuffer.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Very few things remind me of childhood Christmases. When I think about them I always seem to come up with things like photos of us, in our pajamas, uncombed and unwashed, opening gifts; getting a game that I had wanted very much and then not being able to make it work; and going from one relative's house to another in order to see entire family Christmas eve and day. I like it better as an adult.

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!

One thing I remember is helping my mother bake Christmas cookies. I especially loved to the sugar cookies. Cutting them out before baking and decorating them afterwards.

All things work together for good to them that love God.

    I've been defrosted-- Thanks, Sana
