I completely agree with you on this one, Carol. I'm also tired of so much drama in the second one. In the third one another villian is coming, 3 villians they have to deal with, I mean come on?? 2 is where I draw the line. It was still a good movie and I love Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. Another thing I didn't like is that it was to "animated". There was so much effects and stuff, I would have liked it a little more realistic. I'm not saying that Davey Jones doesn't look real but alot of the parts were "animated" and gory, eww that was a little too much.

    Spoiler Warning!!!

I disagree. I loved the added drama with Will finally finding his father and all. Plus I LOVED the new love triangle and can't wait to see how that plays out. (Sparrabeth, Sparrabeth, Sparrabeth, SPARRABETH! ) I loved how Davy's crew looked! Maccus was so sexy! They looked so real and everything. I didn't really think they had a lot of gore, but then again, I kinda like gory movies so it didn't bother me much. I'm sure it would've bothered some...I can't wait for the new villian, Sao Feng. I've seen pictures, and they don't look like 'normal' pirates. The leaked script was AMAZING, and it was just a rough rough rough rough rough rough rough rough rough rough rough rough draft. Proved real by Ted Elliot himself. Can't wait to see how they put those events into a movie.

Another thing I want to see is the Davy Jones/Calypso(Tia Dalma) thing. I don't know for sure that Tia Dalma is Calypso, aka Davy Jones long lost love. If you saw, Davy Jones locket, Tia's necklace and the Dead Man's chest all share the same symbol: a heart with two crab claws going around it. I'm sure that has SOMETHING to do with it.

Ok, I can keep going on for like...ever, but I'll stop here. I don't think many of you care as you didn't/don't like the movies anyway.
    Sparrabeth- Never say we Die!

No matter what Ted and Terry wrote, Jack and Liz love each other.

It was a really good movie IMO. I loved it because it had action parts, serious, drama/love parts and had some comedy in there too. I personally like it better than LotR only because LotR got boring at some parts and this one well...didn't. Plus, it has two major hotties. Johnny and Orli. Almost too much hottness for one movie!
No way! Michelle is, In EVERYBODY'S opinion, a bigger fangirl than Monica. It was really good, but I still think I prefered the first. It was more believeable. A lot of the things that happened wouldn't have happened in *real* life. Like about 10 people coming back from the dead.

Other than that, I agree with you.

Especially with how well Johnney acts the part.

Pirates 1 and 2 are one of the best movies, in my opinion. Jack always makes his grand entrance, although NO entrance can beat the one in the first Pirates.

I LOVED the first Pirates, bought it on DVD and watch it frequently!

Second movie seemed like it lacked ALOT in comparison. It's almost like they were in such a rush to get it to theaters while the fame lasted, that they just didn't put as much time into developing the characters. I didn't get much for laughs out of it this time as the character interaction was lacking (compared to the first one IMHO). I'm not really sorry I saw the second one but I was VERY dissapointed in it.

I will see the third one just out of curiousity to see how they wrap things up, but I don't expect much for my money.

Hands down the first Pirates was the BEST!!

LOL! I've watched Dead Man's Chest so many times I know what they're gonna say, but I couldn't say the whole movie myself yet.

I've never seen any of the Pirates movies. Maybe someday I'll rent them all and see what I'm missing.

But, I have to agree with you, Zippy. No way ANY movie is ever going to be better then LoTR!

I loved the first one (Curse of the Black Pearl) - which is on USA Network again tomorrow and I intend to watch it

Have not seen the second one (Dead Man's Chest) - sorry GreyhoundGirl and dogzr#1 - I promise to rent it as soon as my DVD is up and running again!

I hope there's a third one in the works because I really like Johnny Depp in the role! And oh, yes, I'd be more than happy to go to Walt Disney World and have a turn on the ride that started it all. Yo, ho, yo, ho, a pirate's life for me...
