Hi, Andy! I'm so happy for you that you were rescued, healed, and now loved by your family! I can't believe that was even you in the "before" photo. You look so amazingly healthy and happy now! I hope you had lots of extra attention today to celebrate your special day. Cheers to you! Congrats on DOTD!

Not this Pet Talk house, no way! Andy, when I saw the first photo I thought wow, what a beautiful black dog. It was when I saw the second photo that I lost the dry eyes. I agree with Daisy and Delilah and the other writers 1,000%! God bless your family and caring veterinarian for their diligent work to return you to health. I wish you a long, happy and especially a healthy life with your people, sweet boy. Happy Dog-of-the-Day to you! Please ask your people to pet you for me (and if you like hugs, ask them to hug you for me too). You are precious! Thank you Andy's family for sharing his story.

What a wonderful story, and what a wonderful dog you are, Andy!

Your story tells of two extremes in human behavior.....the lowest, the one who threw you away, and the highest - the ones who rescued you and brought you back to health.

The bottom picture is heartbreaking and it is more so when I realize it was taken AFTER 3 weeks of intensive care! What must you have looked like the first day you were found!

I don't believe I've ever heard of a vet so dedicated that he stays overnight with his patient! Truly incredible! If we (society) ever clones people, I hope Dr. Andy is one of the first to be cloned!
