So most of you are in agreement with me and my family. Niņo's command is "Crate time"
A is a Crate, B is a kennel
A is a Kennel, B is a crate
They are both Kennels
They are both crates, only C is a kennel

A and B are crates/cages and C is a kennel.
When people say "My dog is in the kennel." I always think of large kennels that take care of peoples animals while they are away and these are usually huge so I just called them that. A dog run to me is a temporary pen in the backyard or something.
I call A and B crates, and C a run. To me "kennel" is somewhere you board your dog while you are away.
Thank you Wolf_Q!
A and B are crates & C is a dog run. A kennel here in Australia is usually a wooden dog house for outside use.
i call them cages... but i call "c" a dog run.

Crate and kennel are pretty interchangable to me, C is a dog run. I usually refer to the real metal bar cages as crates, like what Autumn has. I use the command "kennel" because that is the word she knows.

Oh, A disappeared, so I voted incorrectly. The last option is correct, IMHO
I typically refer to crates as being meant for indoors and kennels for outdoors. When someone says kennel I think large and outdoor.
A isn't working, but I would call B a crate, and C a kennel.![]()

I can't see A but from what I have heard I would call A a crate, B is also a crate. C is a kennel or dog run, I call them both names.
I don't call anything a cage, because I have a dog named Kaige. lol Spelled differently but pronounced the same.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.
OOPS! The first picture did not load, so I thought there were only two pictures, and I voted wrong. A and B are crates and C is a kennel.
Our cats and dog are always let free when we leave cause they never get into anything - they all sleep, sleep, sleep - even Belle! But the plastic one I usually call a kennel and the metal ones with bars I call crates (sometimes). The word crate just sounds harsh for me, although I know they aren't, I just think kennel sounds much more pleasant.
