    Kidneys??? UPDATE August 2nd

Remember the peeing issues of Snoopy? She was peeing on the floor, on rugs, even on a catbed-pillow. She got antibiotics then, and got better. But then me went on vacation for a week, and our 21 year old son was asked to pill Snoopy. But..... he forgot

Now, her problem is back. Yesterday she even peed on the catbed itself; I have NO idea how to clean THAT!!

Her pee got "checked" again yesterday. The vet says that the first box of pills helped, so Snoopy has to take more antibiotics . OMG, she is the worst cat ever, when she has to be pilled . ONly wrapping her in a huge towel works for her!!

But.... the vet also says there seems to be to much "egg-white" in her pee. This could be a sign that there is a problem with her kidneys. So she wants Snoopy to go for a visit ; she will try to take a bloodsample . I told her it would be impossible without sedation; but because of Snoopy's problem with sedation, she will try it without! I think I'd better assist her and put on my thick garden gloves.....

Anyone knows what "problem-with kidneys" she is referring too??

First you should have Snoopy checked to test why there is too much protein in her urine.
I think she is too young for kidney failure. If I'm right then protein should also be a sign of an infection.

Keeping my fingers crossed for her.

I'm keeping you and Snoopy in my prayers. This special girl has overcome so much already. I'm sure she'll come through this just fine.

Lut - I know that spaying can solve peeing issues even in females...but is it for sure that Snoopy can't have that surgery?

It solved the problem for a friend of mine whose female was peeing EVERYwhere - nearly got her evicted! Now all is well (though the kitty developed diabetes! No connection!)

We are back from the vet now! She took a blood sample from Snoopy, because the proteine in her pee was to high. At the lab they will see if her kidneys are fine; it is possible that she needs a special diet . Will be hard, because Snoopy is my little vacuum-cat: she eats all the leftovers from the others...

Taking that blood sample was VERY tough!! I had to put almost all my weight on Snoopy to keep her imobilised... . It worked, but she gave such a loud tormented scream . I loosened a bit, and out went that needl..... . The second time, it went fine. She screamed again, poor thing, but this time I held her even more tightly!!
To be sure that the bleeding would stop, the vet put a fancy red bandaid around Snoopy's paw. He he, she is constantly staring at her paw now..... poor thing!!
