It's gonna be in Burnaby (right at the edge of Vancouver) from August 17th-20th. The 17th is for seminars and other events, the 18th is the prequalifiers I think and the 19th and 20th is the actual competition. It's gonna be SO awesome seeing Canada's top agility dogs

I'm just about to leave...got some shopping to do first. I'm picking the pizzas up at 12:45 so I'll see you at 1pm. Hope I have the right park entrance.

Me and Chantelle are extremely sorry that we didn't come to the park.

Our Dads van insurance expired today and he needed Moms car. Our only way there was with our Mom, so unfortunately, we couldn't go. We are both pretty upset and are very sorry. We just found out about his insurance, so we couldn't give you all notice earlier.

Sorry we missed you guys. Gee, had I thought about it, I would have given you my cell number so I could come and pick you up.

We had a great afternoon watching the dogs play. Also had a feast of hamburgers and pizza. We sung happy birthday to Kai and watched the pups devour their own piece of special birthday cake. Some of them even tried to wear a birthday hat!

I don't have many pictures unfortunately and will post what I have tomorrow.

I really wish we could have been there. Sounds like you guys had tons of fun! We'll have to have another meeting soon, perhaps in, or around Surrey?

I'm just over the bridge and really less than 10 min to Surrey. Anytime....you just say the word and I'll be there.

Sounds good to me! We often head out that way to pick up food for the dogs, so I'm in the area pretty often.

I was going to suggest that! Since me and Chantelle don't drive, we really have to depend on our Mother. She would drive us anywhere in Surrey for a meeting, since she knows her way around here. There is a *really* nice off leash dog park (made just for dogs) in Fleetwood. I think that is the only one that is fenced in though? Tynehead is a nice park, but the off leash area is big and open.

Pretty much any Saturday is good for us, since that is one of our Moms days off. Then she can just drop us off and go home for a few hours. Whenever anyone else is up to it, let's have one here in Surrey.

*EDIT* Just found another dog off leash park in Surrey! We might go and check it out tomorrow, to see what it's like. It is completely fenced in, has poop bags and benches. If we go there, me and Chantelle and the dogs could go any day since it's really close to home.

Will let you all know what the park is like and find out exactly where the off leash area is (then I can mark it down on a map and post it here).

The 17th is a k9 health and sports mini clinic as well as a sanctioned rally-o trial. Opened to the the competitors , volunteers and AAC members. There's also a golf tournament but uh.

The 18th is the pre-qualifier and the warm up games which includes the steeplechase, which can be one of the best events to watch as it's designed for speed.

Then the 19th and 20th is the actual competition which consists of three events per day that each dog must run in. Also on the 20th is the steeplechase money round.

If I had qualified for nationals I would be there but Tama was 24 points short of qualifying and Smudge had to be pulled due to an injury...and I can't even say that I'll be in town this year with Superdogs because I wasn't invited.
    Goonies never say die!

Thanks Amy for the great sig!

Well I have permission to meet up with you all this time if there is going to be another meeting. My parents said they'd drive me. YAY! I think the 17th (preferably) or 18th are the best days for me... but whatever works for everyone else.

I think Surrey or Langly would be the easiest for my parents to take me to.. any dog parks around there?

Me and my sister both live in Surrey, and there is an off leash area for dogs at a park right by my sisters apartment, fully fenced.

Both those days should be good for my sister and I.
