Wow, this is only a week away. I can't wait. I'll pick up the paper plates, napkins, cutlery, etc as well as some food. Just not sure what yet. Perhaps a fruit salad??? I'll bring some bottled water as well.

Yup, 1pm sounds good to me. It's a big park so where should we meet?

I was thinking just inside the dog park. It's not terribly big and fully fenced in so no worries about us not finding each other. I can't remember the street but I *think* the dog park is at the end of Kelly street. It's right by the water park and soccer field.

Argh, sorry you guys... still not sure if I can go or not. I'll let ya'll know asap. My parents just don't feel right about me going over there by myself, so I'm trying my best to convince them I'll be FINE.

Thanks for the offer Slick! Ashely also offered to pick me up from the ferry, so, whoever its more convenient for, I'd greatly apprechiate the ride! (if I go...)

Ash, there is another entrance off E Columbia St (North Rd) so that's where I thought you meant to meet. I didn't realize there was the other one off Kelly St. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Manda: I'm going to PM you my home and work phone number and you can pass it along to your Mom if you want. She is more than welcome to contact me.....just so she knows we aren't perverts or gang members. I can also give her someone to contact in Victoria as a character reference.

Well... just got my answer and its a no. I'm so dissapointed. My parents flat out said no... no ifs, ands or buts. Argh....

If you have any meetings next year I should be able to go, since I won't be living at home. I will be coming to Vancouver on August 16th for two or three days and might be able to meet with a few of you then, if anyones free... and my parents will let me.

I'm sorry about this Manda, but hopefully next year. I will be around in August so keep my phone numbers handy and give me a call.

    Roll Call:
    Ashley
    Slick
    Cat Factory
    Cat Lover
    Flatcoat
    Jordan?????
    Nomi - please consider it

Since there are so few of us I have a suggestion. Instead of carting food to the park, how about we hit White Spot or another restaurant of your choosing (my treat) after the dog park? If you still want to eat at the park, that's OK too.....I'll just go shopping on Friday night. Since I'm still not 100% after my pneumonia, I wanted to avoid spending hours in the kitchen cooking.

Edit: Hmmm, I just thought that might not be a good idea since some of you will have pups who will have to wait in the car.....

Slick, as far as I know, the people who are coming for sure are you, myself, cat lover and cat factory. Flat coat and Jordan aren't coming. Not sure about Naomi though. I'm going to be bringing my brother and sister too. They want to spend the day with Kai since it'll be his birthday. I might also be bringing a friend and her pup along, if that's alright.

Either way (for the food) is a-okay with me! If we decide to do the restaurant thing, the pups are welcome to stay at my place.

I can't wait! Just 2 days away! The doggy cake has been ordered and the goody bags are ready to go.

Hmmmm.......I could just bring a bunch of pizzas. I'm sure they will stay warm in the car. If that sounds OK, then please post what you want on your pizza.

I'm gonna bring some burgers too.. just cause I already bought them and I've been craving a non-fast food burger for a while LOL.

Here's the list so far. I hope it's alright, I invited a friend and her friend (and their two pups).

    binka_nugget (and four hooman guests)
    Slick
    Crazy-Cat-Lover
    The Cat Factory

    So 8 total!

So we meet tomorrow at 1pm at the dog park. I'll bring 4 or 5 large pizzas, lots of napkins, a case of bottled water and some doggie treats. Can't wait. I'm so looking forward to just hanging out.
