I went into the - errrrr - a certain "room" in my house, closed the door and - uh - sat down - and turned on Rupert and watched him clean to his hearts content.

Just had to bring this up again. Meet Rupert. I've seen him in action in the very same room. Let me tell you his brushes swept me off my feet. What a job well done!!! I wanted to sneak him in my suitcase to bring him home but didn't know how Max would take a new addition.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

OMG!! I have NO idea how I missed this, but what a hilarious thread!!! Good thing the boss isn't here right now or I'd have been totally busted because I wouldn't have been able to shut this thread down!

I've often thought of getting one of these....how does it work on tile floors? Can Rupert transition easily between tile and carpet? I'm thinking of the motorhome. There is so little carpet that I don't need a vacuum, but the tile floor collects dust and dirt and dust bunnies like you wouldn't believe, not to mention kitty litter tracked all over.

Ok, enough of the seriousness, back to grinning from ear to ear over some of these guesses.

This is Rupert's Mother reporting in.................he is such a good boy - well, sort of a Momma's boy - but he is just too cute to not spoil.

Yes, there are days when I just let him run around the whole house.

This morning he was gobbling up coffee grounds that I had spilled on the kitchen floor..........and then he went into the den and took care of the leftover catnip on the carpeting that I had given to the kids last night.

He is always so cheerful about it too........he lets out the cutest sound when he is done with his chores - so pleased with himself.

The key to his happiness though, is to keep him clean - because you will be appalled at the amount of YOUR dirt he picks up.

He loves to roam around under the bed - but he complains saying that the kitties leave too much fur under there.

My little Ruppie..............Momma would never have let Slick steal you!!!

I think I missed this thread the first time, but after hearing the stories in California, it was quite funny to go back and read! Thanks for bumping it up Slick!!

Gini, be careful! On another forum I frequent one of the women's Roomba got to the remains of a kitty 'erpasode' before she did and the results were a mess throughout the house. Not that Rascal, Emma, or Annie ever have erpasodes, though, right?

Oh my goodness, what a horrible thought. Mine can be programmed with a remote to come on in the middle of the night and vacuum.

And I would want to do this WHY??? I thought it was an odd feature.

It does have little modules that can confine the space it cleans though.
