I really wouldn't want to live in either, but I think I'd have to choose California. However I would not want to live in the L.A. area. Maybe somewhere in northern California.

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

There are rare restaurants that offer them, but you have too look hard for them, and not expect much, qualitywise - or so I am told. I've never seen a "Waffle House" chain restaurant in Massachusetts.

No Waffle House? It seems there's one on every block here!

These are grits. No breakfast is complete without them!

I actually know a Basset Hound named Grits.

Yup! Cali is a huuge state with amazingly varied climates ranging from dry, arid deserts (the appropriately named Death Valley) to snow peaked mountains (Tahoe area). A better option would be Nor Cal vs. So Cal. It's kind of funny because Nor Cal'ers tend to think So Cal people are blonde headed beach boys while So Cal'ers think Nor Cal people are liberal hippies

I love where I live, so Kal-ee-for-nee-yuhhh for me!

DEFINITELY California. Its home sweet home for me...beautiful, mountainous, nice beaches, ski resorts, lovely weather...always mild and comfortable, nice people, diversity...I *love* California. In fact, I'd probably take California over any other state...not ONLY New York. California's climate is the best thing about it.

I voted for CA but I'd only live there if I could live in northern CA, the weather is more my style up there, not quite AS hot & the scenery is better, less big cities.

I live in NY right now , upstate that is. It's a very nice state but although I like the snow I HATE driving in it & I HATE the cold.

And besides the people on the west coast seem different, nicer.
Soar high & free my sweet fur angels. I love you Nanook & Raustyk... forever & ever.

Since this is home I would have to say California, I live more in the north or central valley, I am 2 hours from the beach or the snow, it does get very hot here in the summer though so when I get older I would LOVE to buy a home at the beach but the prices are outragous.

I really don't care much for southern ca, no offense to anyone there it is just too crowded and fast for me, in the north we have lots of trees, whenever I go to LA I miss all the trees.
don't breed or buy while shelter dogs die....

    I have been frosted!

    Thanks Kfamr for the signature!

I've never been to either, but i voted california purely because it would be warm and i don't think that i could adapt to city life.

But i am a purebred Lancashire Lass at heart and somehow i would be out of place in somewhere that wold have nice beaches and warm weather!

Having lived in Southern California for a loooonnnng time..........I am staying put.

We have often joked that ALL IN ONE DAY - we could go to the beach, get in the car and drive to the mountains and SNOW........and then drive to the desert and have time to relax in all three situations.

In the summer we can have really HOT days - but it doesn't last that long and it never has the humidity the east coast has.

    Northern California is very beautiful.

Last year we had an unusual amount of rain - this season (so far) we haven't had as much rain.

All of that said, I miss the change of seasons - but I could live a lifetime without dealing with snow and cold temperatures.
