Kiki's Breed?? *pics*

I'd say maybe Doberman/Whippet? I'd say she's probably too small to be Doberman/Greyhound but she has a rather petite frame like a whippet, and her tail reminds me of Adele's (she's half greyhound). She's very pretty.

Is that merling or just the sun shine? If it's merling/merle patches, I REALLY think she could be a Dobe/Catahoula/Whippet mix.

I see some type of sighthound due to her delicate build and slightly arched back/noticeable tuck-up.

Edited to add: Now that I see her head and the comparisons between the Dobe and Catahoula, I have to say that that may be her mix. Many dobes have very delicate builds due to their ancestry (Greyhounds), so she may or may not have Whippet in her. That would explain her size, however. Catahoulas are rather large dogs and tend to range from 55 pounds and more. The smallest females should range around 20" at the withers.

One of my favorite things to do sometimes is go to Dogster and use the advance search feature to see what different breed combos look like. I've tried to figure out what else may be in Tasha before because supposedly her mom was GSD/greyhound and her dad was unknown, however I just cannot get any clues. She looks VERY similar to GSD/greyhound and GSD/whippet mixes I looked at.

Anyway, I tried a few different combos seeing if I could come up with anything similar to Kiara. One thing I noticed in almost all the rottie mixes there was the very distinct, blocky, mastiff/rottie type head on them, so I just honestly don't think she is a rottie mix, or if she is that it is way back in her lineage. I always thought that as a pup, she reminded me so much of a coonhound pup I helped rescue a few years back, so I did a search on coonhound mixes.

Ok I better quit playing around with that instead of working, but I think it's fascinating. She really could be any number of mixes, but one thing is for sure, she's pure precious!

I have been wondering for a while what lil Kiki's breeds are, she has me stumped . Would i be silly to suggest maybe a little bit of Lab??? there is something about her, maybe the ears that remind me of a lab.

I can almost recognize everyone's suggestion when I look at her picture. Whatever our Kiki is, resulted in an absolutely gorgeous, adorable, smart young lady. Next time you turn around, Kay, give her a kiss from Aunt Karen.
I'm dying to know what Mz K-lo is too. I instantly see GSD but she has white paws and under her tail, soft, longish hair and big eyes and floppy ears. Likes to dig and herd.

Well I guess we are just going to have to keep this thread going then (not that I think she is deprived of kisses normally ). I never really knew anything about coonhounds, I am surprised by how much Kiara does resemble them. Guess I should read up on them.

My friend has a dog that is about a year of age that she rescued from another friend in NJ last year. The dog looks a LOT like Kiki.

I know her dog is part Dobe & I can't remember the other breed. I just emailed my friend asking for a pic & the other breed, just waiting for her to respond back.

She is also very petite like Kiki.

Raustyk is a pure bred Rottie and she has some spots on her that look almost merle like in Kiki but it is actually just the color of the roots of her fur. It's a little hard to explain without looking right at it but the base of her fur is brown and the tips are black in some spots.

He muzzle reminds me a lot of a rottie but everything else shouts dobie to me, she looks quite a bit like my friend's gal Matrix, who is a dobie/rottie cross and a very very smart girl as well, but she's larger in size than Kiara. Both lovely ladies

Ok I heard back from my friend.

Her dog Michi is Dobe/Aussie. She's got the color of a Dobe, shorter hair like a Dobe, the size of an Aussie but slim like a Dobe.
