Kiki's Breed?? *pics*

I was wondering what everyone thought what breeds Kiara has in her. Of course, it does not matter - she is 100% cute to me. I've had so many guesses though...

Beagle mix, Black & Tan Coonhound mix, Rottie mix, Dobie mix, etc.

Her paper said Rott mix. She weighs around 40-50 lbs (Depending on how much swimming she does!) but, she is TINY! She is highly active and tennis ball, frisbee, fetching obsessive! LOVES water.

Her markings on neck/chest/tummy. *Edited to add* I also noticed she has a slight dark brown tint in her tain. It REALLY shows in sunlight. Almost like a chocolate color.

I do see rottie in her and dobie and a little of hound. (she could be a black and tan coonhound, dobie, rottiie mix.. Whatever she is, she's a VERY pretty girl!!

She definetely has the rottie coloring but not the body type at all, she looks like she is mixed with a thinner less stocky breed, not sure what. Like you said she is 100 percent cute.

She may not have any rottie in her at all, besides the coloring I don't see rottie at all. Maybe a dobie, greyhound mix...

I see dobermen. I thought she was a purebred dobermen with natural ears!! She may be coonhound a little.

I really don't see rottweiler, I still think the coloring comes more likely from black and tan coonhound, maybe dobie, I'd think that over rottie. One of my old co-workers had a black and tan and she reminds me of Ki, the way she barks, holds her tail, etc. as well as the "speckled" kind of tan/black fur she has on her belly, behind her ears, etc. (you know what I'm talking about. ) As to what else I have no idea, some smaller breed (she really is a lot smaller than she looks in pictures!), most likely she's a mix bred with a mix who knows.....all I know is she is 100% adorable.

I've always wondered if Ki had some dobie in her, because of her size & shape. You've noticed that her coloring is just like my Rosie's - black, tan, white on chest, and Rosie was definitly part rotti, you could tell by her build, plus she was like 70 lbs. KiKi is so much finer boned, though, and doesn't have a rotti head at all. And the way that girl takes to water, well, ya gotta wonder if there isn't a bit of lab in her somewhere.

Maybe dobie, coonhound and lab? I have always thought she has some dobie in her. She is an adorable mix thats for sure!

Because she's a delicate girl, such a teeny one compared to the breeds like Dobes, it coupld be that she's part Miniture Pinscher instead of Doberman. They have the same coloring, the Mini Pin is the older of the two breeds. I don't see even a smidge of Rottie in her, she's far too fine-boned, no blocky shape to her head or body ... I think they guessed that because of her coloring as a pup. And she's very small for a Dobe mix, even. When she's by herself, she looks the right shape, but she's a peanut!

Maybe Beagle/Mini Pin, maybe - hey - does she have webbed feet? That's often Labbiness showing ...

I don't see Rottweiler, the shelter could easily have mistaken that because as a tiny girl her coloring was that of a Rott but she looks more lightbodied and I think probably Doberman, she has a fairly Dobie head but could be the black and tan coonhound too. I would problably go with one of those over Rotty. She's sure a cute little girl though. MIght be a dobie mixed with a smaller type of dog to cause her to be tiny.

Yes, her feet are webbed.

I also added in the main post that she has a really dark brown/chocolate coloring to the top of her tail.

I definitely see some Rottie in her head.. or it could just me. I'm no expert. But I also see lots of Dobbie in her too.

I've always thought of her as a Doberman/Catahoula mix or maybe Dobe/Lab. In my opinion, I think she's much to 'delicate' looking to be a Rottie mix and judging by her pics, she doesn't have enough undercoat (does she have an under coat at all?). Whatever she is, she's one of the most beautiful mixes I've ever seen!

Dobermans really aren't that big, most females I know are between 50-60lbs. Keeva is 45 pounds right now but she's not done filling out yet, but I think she'll be about 50ish pounds when fully gorwn. Also, the white could definitely be from the Dobie side if that's what is in her. A lot of Dobes (especially backyard bred ones) are showing up with tons of white.

I'm thinking because shes got the Rottie marking but not the body maybe a Dobie would be the mix and something that has white in them...hmmm. Oh wait I just read Tango's mommies post (I see where the white comes from now)

Kiara has always stumped me! Somehow I don't see any of those breeds in her, but all of the thoroughly mixed dogs I have seen loose the color black and are almost always tanish. The webbed feet is a clue though, but at the moment I can't really think of any webbed breeds that might fit what she is.
