I don't know where to start - everyone's pictures are so special.

One glance tells you that Edwina MUST have a secretary. Her fan mail must be huge. What a beauty she is............

Just to make sure I'm understanding you: you have jpeg or bmp, or gif, or jpg files on your hard drive or floppy/CD drive and would like to post them here, right?

If so, it's pretty easy. When you start to reply to a thread, below the block where you enter your comments there is a box that says "Attach file:" There is also a button that says Browse. Click on Browse and go to where your files are in your computer. Click on the file you want to post and 'Open' it. Unfortunately, only one file can be attached per post and the file must be less than 60,000 bytes. If your file is bigger than 60 kbytes, you will need to resize it or get someone here with the right software to resize it for you.

Is this making any sense? I suddenly feel like I'm babbling nonsense, and HATE this feeling. Okay, I'm shutting up now. (For a short while only!) What additional questions do you have?

See!! In the "hi" post, I posted a picture from browse but nothing came!!!

Okay, when you were using browse, did you 'Open' the file? If so, it probably took what felt like a long while to transfer the file here to Pet Talk (45-75 seconds, maybe, depending on size)

How big is the file you are trying to send? What type of file is it? Only a few are transferable...

Okay, your files are the right format, but are too big for transfering to Pet Talk. Even the smaller ones, 74.3KB are 14.3 KB larger than the 60 KB maximum here. I've very sorry I can't help you. Perhaps some of the others can walk you through compressing a file: I do not have that software yet, or the knowledge. Good luck.

I'm not really familiar with which software will do this. The only name I recall is Photoshop. Do you have this software? Or better yet, what software do you have for dealing with photos (if any). Perhaps some of the more savvy members can help you compress your photos...

Peoples: when I had the file size problem several of you offered to compress them for me. Are any of you available to help PopcornBird with the same problem?

I love this thread. We get to see everybody's babies all in one spot, how cool is that? I particularly like seeing the doggie pictures, and "other" pet pictures since I don't often have time to go cruise those parts of Pet Talk. They are all adorable, but that first picture of Carl has got me. He looks so innocent, like he's just a big baby and wants to play. I'd have to say though, that I'm partial to Rotties....and yellow labs...and black labs...and scnauzers (sp?)....and huskies....and pugs too....and I can't forget Old English Sheepdogs (that's what we had when I was growing up).....oh I guess I like them all.

Popcornbird, our cameras don't take pictures that small, we have to downsize them through some kind of software that can edit pictures. I use Picture It! by Microsoft, but I know Photoshop is a popular one too, like Amberlee mentioned. I will try and contact you privately, and you can email me your pictures, I will downsize them for you and email them back to you so you can post them. Let's see if I can get you privately.
