    I'm not gonna click it... I'm not gonna click it... I'll try not to in any case.

    Anyways, I'm both ways in this discussion. A normal person living in areas where there are shelters, seeing pics like that might be swayed into wanting to adopt as to make sure there are less off those poor animals. But at the same time it DOES make people sad (I mean, I haven't even looked at the pics and I'm sad anyways).

    But yeah, I think it'd make more good than bad. What are a few tears compared with saved lives? I just hope it does work.

    I clicked on the link and I looked at all those innocent faces. I cried huge tears. Of all the pictures, the little fuzzy kitten hit me the hardest...not sure why. It was the most beautiful, innocent little angel.

    I really don't know that showing pics of animals who were put to sleep is helpful. It breaks the hearts of those who love animals, but the majority of those who dump their animals there could care less. A couple of years ago when I went to the shelter with my mom and we were looking around for dogs, we were there at total of 2 hours and dozens of dogs and cats were dumped in that time frame. One of the hardest was a man pulled in two purebred goldens, who both had their "breaks" on and had to be dragged by their leashes, and he had not a care in his heart. Even when the adoption councler told him that they had little chance of making it to the adoption ward, the owner said, "I don't care...I don't want them anymore".

    Some people are monsters and they are unaffected by the tragity. I think the only people who are affected by the pictures are people who are actually responsible and spay and neuter their pets.

    I agree. The only people who are affected by these pictures are those who love and respect pets. Only the thought of seeing those pics breaks my heart.

    I don't think it discourages people from giving
    up their pets.I think most people who turn in
    pets to shelters rationalize that the animal will
    surely be adopted by someone else.It breaks my
    heart to look at the animals who ran out of
    chances. I do like billboard signs with the
    Spay/Neuter message on them. There are some in
    Indy that show a puppy & kitten with the message;
    Spaying & Neutering is Not cruel, having unwanted
    litters...That's Cruel..
