BBQ headquarters here - I was positive that I was the last one to get up - but found Slick fast asleep and Laurie and Mary with sleepies still in their eyes.

Richard, who brought his sleeping bag and crashed in my office (smart guy - no driving!) is still asleep.

The coffee pot has been put to good use and we are all sitting around laughing over all of the events that occurred yesterday.

I woke up with thoughts of what I could do to properly thank the firemen for taking time out of their day to drive over here and scare the "H___" out of all of the neighbors and give us more laughs than we could have in a lifetime.

Try to explain to the Fire Captain Finn (who by the way is the Fireman of the Year of all of Los Angeles) exactly what is
Pet Talk!! I think we gave them something to talk about too.

And my second thought was - "now how can I get even with Phred" who was responsible for tracking down the right station for my area and convince them to show up at my home"

Phred - told you on the phone - you are in BIG TIME trouble!

Also - just so all of you know - without the GIANT help from Slick, Laurie and especially Richard - this BBQ wouldn't have happened!

We all talked about the fact that we are making and cementing lifelong friends - no - not the right word - I think FAMILY is the right word!

    TO ALL OF YOU! Gini

OK I usually plan one "big" trip each year and right now I'm committing to making it to next year's BBQ especially if there will be single firemen! Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all and the adventure continues! Sephora? OMG My favorite store! Y'all will be in there for DAYS!

I can't wait to see the pictures!

The piercing/tattoo shop, Malibu beach, and Sephora. Laura and Alexa are going to explore Disneyland. Fun!! Monday, we're meeting back up with them and going to the bunny sanctuary, Sephora (again ), and more shopping. After that, plans are in the air!

I don't see anywhere inthe plans to pick up my cat...

Well, I've been up for a while and I must say that yesterday had to top the charts. Ever since I've been up, I've been going over and over in my mind the events of the day. Yes, the preparation work was busy, but you know, the end result was more than I expected. Today, I feel like it's December 26th. All the shopping, wrapping and deliveries over and done with, and it's another year before we start all over again. Kind of sad in a way....

I was so happy to be able to spend time with Karen from Scotland, Debbie and Terry, Laura and Alexa, and everyone else who attended. To me, it was like one big family reunion. Lots of hugs were exchanged and good wishes were sent out to those one their way home today - Karen along with Debbie and Terry.

I don't know what lies ahead for the next couple of days. I'm taking the train over to Sara's on Tuesday so I can meet the E's and spend some more time with Sara, Don, and Randi. Both Randi and I leave to go home on Wednesday.

I strongly urge all of you to start saving your pennies and attend the BBQ next year....if the neighbourhood will allow it.

Phred, thanks for sending over the fireman....now all my fantasies have come true....well, almost!

Yes, thank you so much, Lut! What a wonderful surprise for everyone!

We are just home about an hour ago. Peanut and Cracker Jack are ecstatic to see us. The flight went well but it's always sad coming home from such a wonderful trip.

Unfortunately I have homework that is due tonight that did not get worked on much during the week for some odd reason, so all I have time for right now is to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! to Gini, Richard, Slick, Laurie and a special THANK YOU to Sara and Don and the E's. We couldn't have asked for better accomodations and hostesses and hosts.

It was wonderful meeting all of you and I sure wish we all had more time together.

    {{{hugs}}} to all!

(because it was so much fun!)

KAK and I got home ... maybe an hour ago? My suitcases are dumped in the middle of the floor, the cat toys have been played with (I look really fetching when I bat a catnip pillow around... There's a mental picture!), and my cats are cuddled.

I had a blast. Thanks for all your hard work Gini, Richard, Slick, Laurie...

Please be patient for the pictures............Sara has a houseful of company and meals to be prepared etc.
Kelly also has a houseful too - Staci, Zip, Aaron and Karen.

I have a house full of company and meals too - sight seeing this afternoon for Mary...........and soon a trip to the airport for Mary's flight home.

Just not a lot of extra time on our hands.................

We will share with all of you and gladly - also many are enroute back home.

Amberlee - thanks for letting us know that you and KAK got home safely. This is now the important part of the BBQ - everyone get home safely!

Also, Amberlee - it was great meeting you - and now you start making plans for next year too!

    More later ...................Gini

I sounds like everyone had a blast. I'll have to see about coming in 3 years or so, so I can try one of those slushies!

I couldn't have said this any better. I've been to all 3 LA PT BBQ's and each one has been better and better. I don't know how any one will be able to top this years BBQ. I also enjoyed being able to talk to Phred, Barbara, momoffuzzyfaces, and Julie aka Ally Cat's Mommy on the cell phone. You all added a lot to the party. I'd also like to thank Lut for helping Gini make the wonderful 3rd Annual PT BBQ Aprons. I wish you could have been there with us Lut.

I didn't take very pictures because I was having too much fun. I'll post the better ones in the next post.
