Yay....I'm a Pillar! :) **Updated with requested pictures**

After 3 years I finally reached pillarhood!

Thanks for having me and thanks to Karen and Paul for keeping such a wonderful site alive and active for all us Pet-o-holics.

    Now, onto my next pillar.

Now, you have to regale us with some new pictures. Of whatever, doesn't matter, I just love your photography! Congratulations!

Congratulations! Surely Nakita would cooperate with a celebration photoshoot?

She's so much more cooperative a model than a certain bunny I know ...

    ...................................

Thanks! You do know that the worst thing you can do is ask me to show some of my pics?! Are you sitting down...better get a coffee.

Here are some of my favourites. They are much better in original size, but you'll get the idea. I love macro, black and white, and nature photography. I will be taking some photography courses this spring and will hopefully develop my skill at that time. The following were all taken at my cottage.

In my humble opinion, dragonflies are amazing. It took a very long time to take this picturebecause it kept flying around every time I approached it. Once I saw the picture I realized the dragonfly had a deformed leg (you can see it hanging down beside its body):

I also love clovers and here it looks like they are life size. I played around with the desaturation aspect:

I spent 40 minutes trying to get this picture. The spider kept hiding under the flower and didn't want to cooperate:

My grandfather's old wooden rowboat that we recently restored:

My fiance's hand after I proposed to him. Of course I had to take a picture!

And for those who requested them, pics of Nakita:

In this pic you can really see the blending of the blue and green aspects of her eyes. If you see Nakita face on, she has pure emerald coloured eyes. If you see her from the side, her eyes turn a blue-turquoise colour. Really neat!

The contrast is nice in this picture:

I love this one because it's usually so hard to get the picture of Nakita's whiskers. The light was reflecting off them when she was cleaning by the window one day.

    Sitting pretty:

And the most recent one where I played around with desaturation and contrast:
