    FIP has taken my big girl April


    She had gone down rapidly the past couple of weeks .... lost weight and was low-energy. I had taken her for a brief "work you in" vet appt. last week and they just gave her an antibiotic for Upper Respiratory. Over the weekend she got no better, and her gums were white! I knew her belly also felt extra soft, and that was in the back of my mind.

    Took her to a very thorough vet today, had a belly tap and x-ray which was conclusive for FIP. She was PTS.

    I am heartbroken as she was a true lover girl, and was sharing herself with me and Dr. Brunner up to the very end.

    Rest in Peace my beautiful big Coon girl, Miss April.

    Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

    I am so sorry to hear about April. I can only imagine how heartsick you must be. Know that she went to the rainbow knowing that she was very loved. RIP little one, and play hard at the RB.

    At least she was blessed to be Your Cat,Kim and passed on as One of Your Beloved Companions.
    Sunday the 16th,April will be the Guest of Honor with Twicket at the Buffet,and Big April will have her choice of over 160 Dishes!
