Some pics of the Canine Crew...

No theme really, just some pics I snapped today and some quick updates on a couple dogs.

Chum thinks the cats hog the woodstove!

The second team I ran today. This marked Paxil and Earle's return to the harness. Still using the quad as there isn't enough snow. I actually drove across the lake today. Never thought I'd still be on the quad by the time the ice was safe!

Paxil was very pleased with herself. She did very well too! Lead dogs don't come any more reliable than Paxil! Her wounds from the tumor removal have healed up nicely. She got a wierd abcess under one front leg from a completely unrelated puncture wound. It has also healed almost completely. She was back to her old self today!

couple more in the next post....

Since he started his thyroid meds, Earle has lost a couple pounds so I think it's safe to take him on short runs again. This team only went 7km. Earle didn't really work much, but he kept up and he had fun. Considering that a mere six weeks ago I was pretty sure he was dying, I don't care how much work he does!

Is there anything sweeter than a sleeping Pacer?

    Pretty boy Chum!

    That's all for now.

What sweet dogs. Paxil looks so happy! I'm glad she's doing well. Pacer looks very content. I'm glad Earle had a good time and is doing much better. It sure looks cold there. Don't know if I could handle that much snow but it sure is beautiful.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.

I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

What beautiful pictures. It's funny when I first saw the sledding picture I thought, oh good they got more snow up there. I love the picture of Paxil, she sure does look happy, and it put a huge smile on my face. And no, I don't think there is anything sweeter than a sleeping Pacer, he is adorable. Chum I think you are a very good boy to share the woodstove with the kitties.
It's really been six weeks since Earle's bloodtests? It doesn't seem that long. But the good news is that he is on the proper medication and is getting better. Good for you, Earle and good for you Glacier.
