I'm trying to do my thank you notes from my baby shower for our Spanish speaking friends. My poetry isn't the best, so I thought I'd ask our more fluent Spanish speakers for their help.

Here is the poem:


Quisiera decir, aunque no estoy aqui todavía
Gracias por los regalos para empesar mi vida
Y gracias departe de mis padres, tambien
Por todos los regalos, que estan muy bien
Mi gabinete estava vacio, mis cosas era pocas
Pero todo eso ha cambiado, por Ustedes, digo muchisimas gracias!

ah, me gusta mucho espanol. pero, no puedo hablar muy bien. entonces no puedo ayudar te...pero creo que es bueno si hicimos un thread un que hablamos en espanol. hace 3 anos que aprendo espanol...es lastimo que no hable mas bueno

Well.... Spanish is my first language, so I think I could help...
The poem is fine, but maybe it is a bit confusing (I don't know exactly what you mean, though) It had some little grammar mistakes, but I fixed them. Maybe you could write in English the poem, and I could translate it more exactly...
You should also ask Husky Mom, or Jackie (I think she's spanish) for their opinions...

Here is the English version. We changed it here and there so the words in Spanish would rhyme, but if you want to take a stab at it, have at it.

thank you for the gifts I'll get

My closet was empty, my belongings were few
but that's all changed now, thanks to you!
