    anyone watch the dog show?

I'm so happy my favourite breed won best in show! All the dogs in the final 7 were gorgeous ,especially the Malamute. The coloured Bull Terrier won btw.
I cant find it on the nbc website yet,so hopefully it'll be up soon.

Yeah, taped and not the commercials! I wish Excalabur placed in group but we got to see James and Vegas, plus many more great dogs. I'm Glad Rufus won. I wish they hadn't cut out 1/2 of the breeds though. I liked what the terrier judge did, because she couldn't have them spar on tv, you never see them even do that.

No, I didn't know one was on. And even if it was on, I wouldn't watch it. I think it is cruel. Some of those people act like they are USING their dogs to win the money...I didn't say they all were... I just said some... But anyway, I think it is cruel.

Did you know: If the world was one shelter instead of broken up ones, 5,000 dogs are killed per second?

Did you know only 40% of dogs in the world are adopted from the shelter?

I think everyone's life would be a whole lot easier if you could make money from breeding and showing dogs. The only people that really profit are the handlers.

the dog show world is something that you spend money on. rarely ever do you win money. most show dogs, like mine, live a wonderful life. they are well groomed, live inside with their owners/handlers, get the best food, the best vet care, they are generally spoiled rotten....ask my Gracie and Houston. they know all about being spoiled.

Who the heck makes money off showing dogs?! Wow. If you could point me to somebody that does, PLEASE PM me! I'd love to hear how.

Please don't bash something you obviously don't know much about. Conformation shows are for evaluating breeding stock. That's all it is. Nothing more. Nothing less. As for it being cruel? The previous posters are absolutely correct. In order for your dog to win, s/he should be absolutely prancing on Cloud 9 every time s/he walks into the ring.

I didn't catch the show, but did anybody catch the name of the Peke?
