    Pain?

    I have pain underneath the ribs on my left side. It only hurts if I move the wrong way and it's kind of a burning pain.

    Does anyone have any ideas what it might be? It's not horrible, but it's bad enough to get my attention.

    Have you done any strenuous activities recently. I had a really burning in my side after playing two hours of volleyball one night.

    it's on the right, not the left. sorry. It's right underneath where the ribs separate in the front.

    Could it be a kidney infection? Are you drinking alot of caffines. I know when I have a kidney infection it makes my lower back and my sides hurt.

    Maybe you twisted something. When I broke my ribs, it still hurt for ages. As if it would never stop.

    Oh, man, I'm sorry to hear that you're going to have to go in for surgery. My mother had the same surgery done, too, a few years back. She didn't have that rough of a time of it, I hope you recover as quickly and as well as she did!

    Dawn, I'm just now seeing this but I'm so sorry to hear you have to have surgery. Like everyone said it's a fairly easy procedure these days. I know of someone who had the surgery due to stones on Sept. 30 and he was back to work full time in less than two weeks. I'm sure you will do just a great!
