What does your dog(s) dinner look like?

I thought this would be a fun topic since we're all so avid about what enters our pups' stomachs. We feed raw, so vegetarians, be forwarned! It does get rather gruesome in my pups' dishes.

    This is Gissie's:

Lucky's is the same, except on a smaller scale and with a few tablespoons of EVO.

each one of my dogs eats a different kind of kibble. each has specail needs, allergies, etc. once or twice a week i do give Gracie a slab of lamb, beef or pork. she also likes pickled pig's feet. Beanie likes those too. in the summer to help Gracie slim down i give her 2/3 of her normal kibble and ad a half a can of green beans.

Yummy, Finn just gets a chicken leg quarter...or some salmon or other fish...or beef or pork...I don't put veggies or fruit with his dinner, but, I feed him those things throughout the day as I eat them. Cool that you feed raw...! No pictures of his dinner, though...I'll try to take some this weekend.

I'd love to feed raw but I'm always afraid I'd miss something & they wouldn't get all the nutrients they need.

So for now they get regular kibble, its decent though, Nutro natural choice.

Can you reccomend any good books on how much & of what to give?

hehe Im vegan and my dog eats raw too. my other dog eats kibble (same brand as the raw patties I buy- nature's variety prairie), only because its so expensive, I cant afford to feed them both raw. lol Id like to try making it myself (cheaper!) but I dont have the room in my freezer! I have a super tiny abnormal old fridge/freezer. but some day.. it will happen. Ive actually been thinking about buying a mini freezer but I havent found any that are even remotely decent priced.

anyhoo.. I do have a few photos of brocks food lol, these were from when I was just starting him on raw so it was only a small amount of food:

this was him before I got him to eat it, he was so confused, he didnt think it was real food. lol and now he REFUSES to eat kibble or canned.

lv4dogs: there are actually several companies that have premade raw patties (everything ground up), or still whole meals (whole bones are better because they clean the teeth). the only problem is its expensive, especially if you have a large dog.

when I was researching raw I had a lot of resources from people on PT, you could do a search, theres been a few threads about it. heres the links in my favorites folder:

    http://www.njboxers.com/
    http://www.rawlearning.com/rawfaq.html
    http://www.barfworld.com/

there was one site I really loved but cant seem to find it.. they had an awesome excell spreadsheet thing you could download and enter in your dogs weight and the amout of each component you were feeding, and it would calculate how much of each youd need for like a month or week or whatever. it was so awesome.. Ill try to find that for you

Picture that beautiful stainless steel bowl you have with a bunch of teeny little nuggets in it. I feed Chicken Soup, no time for a raw diet, although they do get alot of fruits and veggies during the summer time. They help them selves to the crops.

Okay, I lied. Cody hocky pucks the bowls when they are done eating so they are quite dented up. She flipps them on thier rims and scoots them all over the kennell, screaming and barking at the same time. Funny scenario, wish you all could see it.
