First post here; hope I'm doing things correctly. As well as praise for the brave people who work in animal shelters I want to remind all of us that they need our help and funds as well! We all need to do so much to make even a small dent in man's inhumanity to animals. Remember the little victims with your contributions even if, like me, you couldn't bear to visit in person.

And I'm happy to see the sweet little family of Cricket and Winter!

Well, this ended up being a second thread, but I'm posting here for very obvious reasons! Welcome from one St. Louisian to another St. Louisian!!!

Aren't these two girls little beauties!!! I congratulate their mother, on having the fortune to select such great kitties!!! They will keep you amused and happy for hours, trust me! Research has shown that there is nothing better for human companionship than having an animal in one's life, and I'm sure these little gals will keep you happy and contented -- and HEALTHY!!!!! Will Rogers said it best: "There's nothing better for the inside of a man, than the outside of a horse." You can translate this to mean all people, and ALL companion animals!!!

One other thought, and that is that my two white cats were and are non-blue-eyed cats. So, both J-J and Princess could and can hear. I see that Winter has green eyes, so she can also hear; lucky little girl!

Hi Cricket and Winter! What a gorgeous twosome! And how lovely and sweet you two look all snuggled together. It's never fails to touch me; the wonderous, healing power of companion animals that is! Your guardian not only helped herself to heal when she adopted you Cricket and Winter, but as well, saved a precious, defenseless life from, at best, an uncertain future! You are truly a special pair, and most deserving of our highest honor! Congratulations to our most amusing, entertaining, loving, huggable and HEALING beautiful Cats of the Day!!!! And to your proud and loving Mommy, I sincerely hope you are well and whole again!
