    What part of Iowa? I'm in the NW corner on the Iowa/South Dakota border....
    I know of one other Iowan for sure, a friend of mine from another dog group joined here a couple days ago...she's from Davenport.

    Yeah, sometimes they fly right over our house. My dogs hate them. Bark constantly until they get right over the house and then they want to hide inside. Brave dogs.

    A couple of years ago we had a couple of ballooners take off from our yard. I was surprised how little time it takes from the balloon pull out to take-off.
