    Mac's busy day with pics...

Mac was getting picked on today, as sometimes happens to the bottom of the pack dogs. Chase was just being a big jerk and Ozzy wasn't defending Mac the way he usually does. Even dogs have bad days!

So after some coaxing and a bunch of Rollover chunks, I convinced Mac to leave the pen with me. After making sure the bullies hadn't hurt him, we went for a little walk.

Let's go that way, Mom. There are squirrels over there!

When we got home from investigating the walking trail, Mac got put out on the front tie-out--it's a clothesline trolley and gives them tons of room.

This lead to a long play session with Daisy.

Look, I made a new friend!

Right now he's in the porch eating a pig's ear. I have to keep finding stuff for him to chew on or he's trying to find a way out of the house. He's not comfortable inside, but I'm going to try and have him sleep in tonight.

Poor baby - being picked on is NOT FUN!!!

But lucky for you, Mummy saved the day and took you to play with Daisy!!! Lucky Boy!!!

Aww he looks so happy with his new friend, Daisy. What a great friend Daisy is, for making him feel better after a rough day.

What a great mom you are. Mac is just adorable. I love his coloring. He looks like he has such sweet face. Give him a hug from me!

Mac is so cute. I would feel bad for him, getting picked on. I'm glad he got some time by himself to have fun and at least one dog played with him. Maybe he'll get a bit stronger and more confident soon.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.

In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

They usually play with him. He lives with three other dogs, sometimes four as Goldie is often in that pen too lately. They were just having a cranky day and Mac got picked on. Next time it will be someone else. They've forgotten today and are all playing nicely again!

Mac did spend the night inside--for the first time. He did very well. I confined him to the porch since it's easiest to clean, but he didn't have an accident! He was plenty happy to get back outside this morning though. He's not a house dog, but I want to get both him and Ozzy used to being inside before it gets cold. They don't have much of a coat.
