New Improved Jungle Gym! (couple pics)

David surprised me and made a new and improved jungle gym for Dawn. I just have a couple pics of it and I'm planning to run to the pet store and get a few accessories for it, I'll try to get some pics of Dawn with it once I get it finished up. He did a nice job on this! When I looked online, ones about this size were $60-70 I think. David said he spent about $5 in materials to make it!

WOW!!! Lucky Dawn!!! I'm sure she will LOVE it!!! Play gyms are SO expensive to buy from the pet store.

I would love to make something like that for my tiels.

More pics! Picked up a few things from PetCo and got it kind of set up now the way I wanted it. Dawn seems to like it pretty well, she seems comfortable on it. This time the perches are higher and thicker so she seems more comfortable. She didn't trust the rope swing yet though




Using a turned over crock to hold the ladder in place for now, but I think I'm going to get a rock like a reptile rock, it'll look better and she can sit on it too.

AWWW, what a lucky birdie! It looks excellent with all of the accesories.

I am planning on making Soda & Cracker a play gym, too. I am sure they would love to have one.

It's ground up corn cobs, bought a bag of it at PetCo and found it in the rodent bedding area although it says it can be used for rodents or birds. I just use newspaper in her cage cause it's easier to change but I like the litter for little gym. I got the little crock dishes in the rodent area too.

David got all the materials to make it from a hardware store, just used wooden dowels for the perches, he says they are very cheap. He couldn't believe what the pet stores and manufacturers charge for these things because the materials are so inexpensive.

Wow! Dawn looks so happy on her new jungle gym, and Popcorn and Muffin say they are incredibly jealous! Your husband did an awesome job! I'm sure Dawn is very grateful. I'll have to look into making one of those someday. Pet store prices can be ridiculous for such things. The big ladder I bought from Petco that goes from the tiels' cage to the ground was $10 itself! Just for one ladder.
