Not for me or any of our kids, but for my gf's cousin's boxer. Her name is Broadway and she's been having all sorts of problems lately. Mini seixures, trouble eating and swallowing. The vet told her that she may have cancer. She's gone in several times to get checked out, but the vet can't find any tumors or anything. I think she needs a second opinion. The last thing the vet told her yesterday was that they still couldn't find the tumor, and that Broadway was a 5 year old boxer and by 6 they tend to have a lot of problems, they're not long-lived dogs, blah blah blah.
Celine (Bella's cousin) is beside herself with worry. She doesn't know what's going on, only that her dog is sick and her vet can't tell her anything. She's frustrated, understandably so. I know the thoughts and prayers of PTers can have amazing results, and I know Celine and Broadway would feel good knowing there's people out there who care. Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone!

To chalk it up to the normal progression of age realted illnesses in Boxers is not right! This is a young dog, even for a Boxer!!! I'd definitely try to get Broadway an appt. with another vet. or specialist; perhaps an oncologist. I think a second opinon is definitely in order. Did the vet do any blood work or xrays? My heart breaks for Celine...it's hard enough dealing with a known illness or condition, let alone having to see your precious pup suffer without knowing why or how to treat it. Please tell Celine that the power of Pet Talk prayers are with her and Broadway. I'll be keeping them both in my heart and prayers for sure. Please keep us updated and do encourage Celine to see another vet asap! Sandra
