Pet Swapping?!!?!

I saw a tv commercial yesterday for a website that will aid people who want to "swap their pets." This disturbed me, but I guess some would say that swapping one is better than sending it to a shelter. I wonder what other PTers think....please share opinions on this. Thanks!

It makes no sense to me. If people are going to "swap" their pet because they don't want to deal with the problems they are having, what makes them think they'll want to deal with a new set problems from someone else's swapped pet?

My dogs are like my kids and I can't imagine just "swapping" them like they were baseball cards.

Maybe not "swap" exactly, but I'll borrow a Nebo, and a Tommy, and a Chubby, and a Bella, and a Riley, and a Finn, and a Mickey any day.

Seriously though, I would *never* give my "kids" up. Nope! No swaps here.
