Tuxedo Kitties

I've always thought Tuxedo Kitties were great, I have one named Boogie. He seems to like wearing fancy clothes, and he always keeps them clean! Do you like Tuxedo Kitties? This is the place to tell stories about your Tux Cats! I'm going to try to post a picture of Boogis soon. (Boogis is one of his nicknames)

We have a tuxedo kitty named Scooter. This cat is so ornery! He talks a lot, and I tell you what. This boy sure has a set of lungs on him! It took him 6 months to get used to my cat, Marius, when my husband and I moved in together. I was so glad my cat was so laid back and didn't seem to mind Scooter hissing and spitting and growling and just outright fussing! The patience paid off, and now you couldn't tell they didn't get along at first if you were to see them today! I think it's funny how big and round and "shocked" Scooter looks with his big "bug" bright yellow eyes! I call them his "owl eyes". Many times people comment on his eyes and ask us if he's permantly shocked when they see him! LOL It makes him quite cute He really likes to lick glasses full of water (or whatever we may be drinking at the time). It really funny, but he acts like it's the best thing! He'll crawl all over me for an opportunity to get a lick of that glass in hand! He's definitely my husband's cat. My husband is just about the only person that cat tolerates. He tolerates me ok, but the hubby is really the only person who can hold him. It's so cute to see hubby and his kitty curled up together asleep on the couch. Anytime hubby leaves the room, that cat has to follow! So cute!

Biggie has those same big, gold, round eyes! You always here about cats' almond eyes, but not Biggie's! I think that's what give him his goofy look, especially when he starts going all lovey and tries to squeeze those big eyes into squinty lovey eyes! It seems like only tuxedos have those big, round eyes.

His sister is also a tuxedo, but her eyes, although round, are not nearly as big and look even less so since they are wide-set and brown. Maybe it's just boy tuxedos?

4 feline, that's a very interesting point! A lot of male tuxedo cats I've seen have those big round eyes! That is so funny! It certainly does give a goofy look!

My upstairs neighbors have two cats, a long haired grey and a tuxedo. I know this becuase they have told me, but since they are almost never in the front window, I have not ever seen the tuxedo, but I know they are both boys. Today, when I came home from work, the tuxedo was in the front window. And yes, he has big, round, yellow eyes!

I have had 3 tuxedo cats over the years. My current cat Clyde is a tuxedo cat. I am very partial to them. Clyde always looks so dressed up. He came from a litter of 12! kittens, he was the only tuxedo cat, and that was why I picked him.
For Christmas last year I got a Tuxedo Cat calendar. It was signed love Clyde. The funny thing was that my other cat Scooter was watching me open presents, and when I got to that one, he ran off. He is a jealous kitty!

nsweezie, I have a Scooter at home too!! Tuxedo cats are endearing with those big eyes and instant dress for a 'night on the town' so to speak! HA!

I think Boogie has a few things in common with "Jellicle Cats"! He is roly-poly, he is black and white, he partys at night, and so on.. I love The Boogis! (Boogis is one of his nicknames) He dances, and his name is Boogie.. is that funny??! He has big eyes, but they are more green than yellow. Oh, he certainly takes care of his fancy coat! He always looks formal!!
