I am so glad that you found Casper. How anyone dropped him off at a shelter is beyond my comprehension. He looks so happy and content and grateful to have you. My hats off for taking him in and giving him a great home.

CASPER, what a wonderful cat you are!! Your owner should be extra proud to have rescued such a sweet, loving, cute cat like yourself! Okay, I know the reasons why some people have to give up their cats to shelters, but it still boggles my mind that they actually go THROUGH with it. It just thrills me to read about someone who has rescued/adopted a kitty and who can make the love commitment forever--like Casper's owner! Casper, you look so content and happy on your sunflower couch! And you look like you're just begging for a belly-rub. Congratulations on being "CAT OF THE DAY"!!!!

Rescues really are the best! Every animal we have ever owned has been a rescue from the shelter (or street). It's a weakness...I see a stray animal, and it ends up moving in!:-) I really think that they (the rescues) really appreciate the good life we give them:-) Plus, they're just too cute!

If that's not a picture of pure contentment, I've never seen one! Every rescue story is so special. Casper proves that given a chance, these very needing kitty's prove to be the most loving and appreciative of companions. Thank you for providing such a safe, warm and cozy forever home to beautiful Casper, Cat of the Day! It sounds like he rewards you daily with his unconditional love and affection.
