My name is Salsa, and I'm a spoiled rotten Boxer. I'm now ten years old, so this picture was taken a few years ago, before I got a little gray. I live in Central Texas, but I was born in Panama, where my parents adopted me as a baby. Wondering how I got my name? Besides being from Panama, I love meeting people and "dance the Salsa dance" every time, not to mention that salsa is one of my favorite foods.

In the 1950s my family had a boxer named Satchel. We were told his registered name was Satchel Ass. He had no papers, so I suspect that was made up. My son was about 10, and he
would wake me up to tell me that "Satch" had pushed him out of bed onto the floor! He was a wonderful dog, but we just could not keep him from jumping the 6 ft. fence and running up the hill to greet all the little kids getting out from school. He jumped on them to lick them but knocked some of them down. We finally had to give him to someone who had a ranch, and he could have more freedom to roam. He wouldn't hurt a fly, but he just loved kids of all sizes. I still think of him.
