    Introducing Pingo!

This is Pingo. She's been with us for a couple weeks now. She's about five years old, an alaskan husky and has spent her life as a working dog. She has run several big races and was supposed to be in last year's Yukon Quest, but she went into heat and got left behind. She was given to us by a friend who isn't racing this year, but wanted her to get some work. She's very sweet and has adjusted well to our place. She is set to get spayed in early January.

How cute! Pingo looks a lot like a Border Collie, to me.

She may well have some collie in her. Alaskan huskies are a mix of many breeds. They are basically any dog bred specifically to pull a sled.
