What a cutie you are, Lucy! We are so glad your mom needed a dog just when you needed a forever home! She now knows how much fun having a small dog like you can be! I am glad you made your way into rescue so she could find you, and those are great pictures of you! We know you are a much loved girl! Congratulations, it is your big day!

Hi Lucy! Happy Dog of the Day to you! What an adorable *smiley* pup you are, Lucy, and looking so festive, so adorable, in your holiday photo! No wonder everyone who meets you falls hopelessly in love!

What a heart wrenching, heartwarming, rags to riches story your mommy has shared with us, Lucy! I cannot for the life of me, understand how your former (so-called) family could just discard you the way that they did! At one time they cared enough about you to have you microchipped, yet had no problem turning away when they were notified that you were found! Our furkids are full fledged family members, a life time commitment, not yesterday's trash!

Well, as the adage goes, living well is the best revenge, and thankfully, it wouldn't be long before your true forever human would find her way to you, and the rest is happy history! And, as is so often the case with our rescued furkids, somehow you know just how blessed you are, repaying your mommy's kindness each and every day with your joyful personality, your unconditional love and devotion! In fact, you ended up rescuing her as much as she did you! You do the memory of your beloved predecessor proud, sweetheart! They don't come and more special than you, Lucy! And *bonus points,* you're named after one of my all time favorite TV personalities! The minute I read your name the theme song to "I Love Lucy" started running through my head!

"I love Lucy and she loves me
We're as happy as two can be..."

Oh yes, it truly is one happy love affair for you and your mommy, and I hope that you and she will know many, many more happy, carefree, love filled years together! Hope you're enjoying an extra special, fun filled day, sweet baby girl, playing your beloved boyfriend Rascal and your "kitties," being spoiled rotten by your wonderful mommy! Lots of love, cuddles and kisses to you, precious Lucy! And to you and your mommy, wishes for a very Merry Christmas and happy and healthy New Year! Now, off to check out your FB page!

Lucy, I can certainly understand why everyone loves you - you are a little darling. Your person told such a wonderful story about you, and you sound like a perfect match. It breaks my heart to think that your former "caregivers" didn't want you and they just "threw you away". But what a happy turn of events for you, that you were adopted by such a wonderful and loving and caring person. You won in the end- didn't you??? You couldn't have found a better furever home - one in which you are pampered and loved - just as you deserve to be.

Congratulations - and enjoy your day today, as the very honored DOTD. Wishing you a very long and happy and healthy life with your adoring family, little cutie.
