    Purple Rain

When I was considering whether to join my husband in California I came for a visit during "Jacaranda Season." I had never seen anything like it before...everywhere we went - splashes of vibrant purple trees. And we bought a house with a jacaranda tree in the garden. When the flowers fall off - and Oh! do they fall off...it looks and sounds like purple rain - okay - it only sounds like purple rain if you are sitting under the umbrella...but you get the idea...

    The Tree

My favorite cluster this year. It looks like a giant bunch of grapes...

    A purple rain puddle...

People complain the trees are messy - and have recommended we remove it. NEVER! I will deal with the purple rain any day.

    Gorgeous! Thank you.

    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Wow!! That tree is amazing and so beautiful. I think I would enjoy cleaning up after the purple rain too.

I'm going to be singing that song in my head all day now. EAR WORM!

That is a beautiful tree. Purple is my favorite color.

We have all kinds of flowering trees in this area and there is one that has all kinds of tiny white petals on it (don't know what kind it is) and when they start to drop it looks like snow.

R.I.P my dear Sweet Teddy. You will be missed forever. We love you.
