Please Welcome Riley to her new home!

    Riley has joined our family!

She is a 6 year old poochon, or bichon poo - a bichon miniature poodle cross. I am her THIRD guardian THIS YEAR. She is never going to have to adapt to a new home again. She has the slim poodle body, and makes my bichons look chunky ha haaa.

We started out in the back yard, let everyone meet her. That is Willy behind her.

That's Willy (left) and Lacey up on the bench. We'd been out for a bit, so all the initial butt sniffing was over with.

I think she has sniffed every INCH of the back yard!

Tasha is the one behind Riley.

    More photos to come!

    Willy and Lacey

    And Riley

I took Riley ONLY inside so she could check out the house, find her way around, then we came out again. It was after that Tasha decided she needed to sit inside and guard the door.

Stand by, a few more pics to come!

I was told that, if there is a man in the house, Riley will leave me for him. TRUE!! She loves sitting with Dad.

Look at that sleek poodle body!

She has not been spayed and needs a dental. She has TONS of tartar and plaque, poor girl. She has lost all her front teeth, top and bottom, between her K9's. She has a vet appt for Monday to start the ball rolling to get her in to shape. No medical records, so I will at least have to get her the rabies shot.

I love that someone dolled her up with red bows to make her look her best. But thankfully, now that she'll be getting dental and veterinary care, she'll be able to feel better, too! She certainly does favor the poodle side of her gene pool - she's just a smidge long and lower than a mini poodle would be!

Riley is a cutie. I like her little red bows. She does look a little on the thin side. I wonder why she was bounced around before
you took her in. I hope she gets all settled in once she get caught up with the medical issues.

OMG - this sure caught me by surprise.

So I take it The Fluffs accepted her with no problem? She's a cutie and looks like a happy girl. Love the bows in her hair - so girlie!!!

Welcome Riley. Your have landed in the very best home possible whether you know it or not. Only good days ahead from here on...............

Sandie, she is adorable. Why ever would she need 3 guardians in one year!

Riley, you have found your forever home. Soon you will be feeling much better. I hope to hear about your exploits with the fluffies and the furries!

Hello, Riley! It is very nice to meet you! Welcome to your new home! You'll get up-dated on your health care, taking care of your teethies, and getting your vaccines. In between that, you can have all sorts of fun as a fluff! I agree with Kaycountrygal, what fun you all will have! Welcome, sweety!

Congrats!!! She's adorable and I know that she now has the best loving forever home. It's kind of interesting that her name also begins with an "R" and I named all 3 of my new kittens with "R" names too. Now she can live the life of Riley. I look forward to hearing more about her and seeing more pictures of her too.

Awww, she is sooo cute!! And I love her name. I was wondering how long it would be before another pup found its way into your home.

I just love the picture of Willy on the bench by himself. He looks like he has the biggest smile ever! He must really like his new sister.

Taggart and I got to meet our neighbors new dog, Ruby, yesterday. I wish I had my camera. She asked me what breed(s) I thought she was. She was told Poodle/Bichon. Now seeing Riley I'm wondering about Ruby. Perhaps Ruby has more of the Bichon breed, because her head is not as sleek as Riley's. It much more roundish. But my guess would have to be some kind of Poodle mix.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!
