    Darling Madison

Wow, Madison, you've had a bit of a rough start in life, but you certainly have a family who loves you now - much paw applause to them for taking you in! FIV does weaken your immune system, and your purrsons are obviously watching over you. You are a charming little girl - love your beautiful colors! We hope you live a long, happy life, sweet Madison!

Definitely an awesome story and one that really makes you think.

The cool thing about you Madison is that you have a permanent wink which is quite attractive.

There is nothing better than a cat who loves to be petted and also loves to snuggle.

So happy your dad found you and brought you home fur-ever.

Gentle hugs to you. I'm so glad you ran after that nice man. I'm so glad another nice man and lady took you in and made you the princess you always deserved to be.

Many happy and healthy years to you.

Oh Madison, your purrents should be "Purrents of the Day" for having such commitment to your health and welfare. They took on a kitty that had seen some bad days, only to have their and your days filled with fun and love from now on!

Congrats on being The Cat of the Day. You are a special girl everyday.

I will never forget your story and will keep it in mind if and when I go to a shelter for another kitty.

    Again, CONGRATS!

Hugs and head bumpies from Vermont!

Hello sweet, precious girl, it's your grandma. It is so wonderful to see you being COTD.
You are indeed spoiled and loved by your mommy and daddy and of course grandma.
I can attest to the fact that Maddy Caddy is everything Alicia said and more. Playful, curious, silly, and always wanting to be loved and giving love.
Maddy has added such incredible joy to the entire family.
And her daddy, well her daddy is one tough guy but with his littl girl he is total mush.
You are indeed in your forever home sweet angle.
    Grandma loves you so.

I think Madison's story is truly great. I lost my calico, Weebie, a year ago and this summer I took on the fostering of two FIV males, Henry and Duncan. Duncan may have been in an abuse situation but once he learned to trust again, he purrs and licks me like crazy. He's missing a lower canine and sticks his tongue out when he's really happy.

While Henry and Duncan aren't the best buddies, they are getting along well enough to enjoy being in a home and not on the street. So it's great that you advocate for first vaccinating cats against FIV and FeLV and that one should consider opening up a home and a heart to adopting these cats. They reward you every day.

    Sweet Madison

I applaud you for giving Madison the home she deserves, the home all cats deserve - one full of love, care, acceptance and fun! I volunteer for a cat rescue here in Montreal and when we rescue a cat who tests positive for FIV the person who runs the rescue takes them in as her own. She has 6 or 7 and a few of them have been with her for many years. I hope you have Madison for a long time to come too.
Please have your pets sterilized as soon as possible to lower, and one day hopefully eliminate, unwanted and abandoned pets. It IS our responsibility. Adopting from a shelter also helps - encouraging breeders just adds to the overpopulation.

What an amazing, inspirational, heart warming, life affirming story!! Madison, sweet baby girl, you couldn't be more beautiful, in body and soul, if your tired! Your sweet face brings tears to my eyes! God bless your wonderful mommy and daddy for rescuing you and giving your the happiest, most secure, love filled home imaginable! I have NO doubt that it was a higher power, literally propelling you (with the assistance of that dear biker), to you forever daddy that fateful day! That higher power surely knew you were in need of just the right furever home, one that was willing and able to meet your very special needs, and oh boy did she/he deliver! And you just happen to be as personality packed as you are beautiful! I just loved reading your mommy's description of your antics, of your unbridled love for life and your family! You truly are a treasure, one in a million, and so very deserving of our extra special Sunday honors! How proud your mom and dad, and grandma, our very own Marigold, must be, seeing you featured here today! And great thanks to your mom for sharing her very wise advice re: FIV and FeLV; education is the key!
Thanks for ending my day on such an uplifting note, sweetheart! I hope you and Meeka are both being spoiled rotten, treated to a very happy Cat of the Day!
Love and hugs and kisses to you, precious Madison!
(Just had to add in your mommy's very sage words; they brought tears to my eyes!)
" And lastly, this little one inspires us to be thankful for what we have, our home and our health, and even when you lose your teeth or even an eye, you can still be lovable, cute, positive, and happy!"

Beautiful Madison, you were led by the bike man to be in the right place at the right time! Thankfully you are loved and cared for now, as you must have been at some point due to the surgery to remove your eye . . . someone else loved you, too . . . I hope the person is not too distraught over your departure. Seems every attempt was made to find your original guardian, to no avail. I'm sure you could not hope for a more loving or appreciative home than you now have, sweet girl! May you bask in the limelight of being crowned COTD that you are so deserving of, and forever bring joy and delight to your devoted guardians!
