    Me and my gal

I visited my hawk friend Isis this weekend and my friend Mary Ann took some pictures of us. Here are two of the best. I can’t tell you how fabulous and soft she is. . .can you imagine that I can do scratchies with a hawk? ! ? I love her more than I can say.

Awww, a hawk head tilt!! Too cute! That is amazing.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Wow! She is beautiful! Here is proof that you gave her scritchies! It looks to me like she was happy to receive them. (not that I know much about hawks-- I don't-- but just the position of her body and wings makes me think she was content) And her head tilt in the second picture, priceless I like the pattern on her chest and wings in the first picture, with the light and dark.

Isis is a beauty. Is she a red tailed hawk? Look at those talons.

We have a female red tailed hawk named Flora that has raised young in our woods the last 9 years now. Her mate is named Flint. They are here year round.
