So much sad news right now, I thought I'd start a thread just for pure fun.

So, if you could be a mythological or fantasy character, what would you be? Elf, fairies, unicorns, dragons, hobbits, pegasus, dryad, nyad, water nymph, mermaid or merman, minatour, vampire, werewolf, ghost, leprechaun, sprite, gnome, troll, roc or whatever!

I've always thought I might be a good elf, so long as I could be friends with a unicorn, and talk to other animals, too.

Yup - a ghost for sure - but a friendly one like Casper. If not a ghost - then a unicorn.

I would love to be a hippogryph. The idea of a horse with wings that ISN'T a Pegasus appeals to me!

Um, wombat, despite the title on the picture, doesn't that character having wings make it a fairy, not an elf?

Somehow I have a tough time imagining Wom as someone's fairy godparent....

That is easy I would be a fairy and protect all the creatures from man. If man were to come and hunt I would turn them into deer do-do.
Or if they hunted elephant they would be elephant do-do, lion hunting now you are lion do-do and so forth.
Oh what fun that would be to turn hunters into a world of do-do for all time to be.
Creatures large and small could roam the earth and be free.
To be themselves hunted or hunter as God meant them to be.
Man would no longer ruin the earth and destroy all we touch.
The animals derserve earth and all it's bounty such.
And for those human souls with a heart of gold, this fairy would always protect them as they grow blessfully old
