    America's got talent

Last night I watched AGT and there were some pretty decent acts on the show. However I was BLOWN AWAY by Jackie Evancho with that unbelieveably mature operatic singing voice this young girl posseses. She's only 10, but sings way beyond her years. BTW, she lives in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Laura, you can definitely find her on youtube. I watched some of her videos on there already. She lives about ten miles from where I live in Concordia. I believe her singing voice is completely real and not faked at all.

I have not watched last nights show yet. But yes, Jackie is amazing!!! And we (my mom and I) knew there was going to be some great acts on last nights show. That makes it much harder to only choose 5 to move on. But I don't vote, so oh well.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I've really enjoyed watching AGT this season. Some really good competition. Jackie E's voice is totally amazing, but if you listen carefully, she has some growing up to do. When she is an adult she will blow the roof off any building she sings in!! I'm also loving Michael Grimm and Prince Poppycock.

I haven't watched last nights episode yet either. I always watch it on Hulu and it isn't on there until Thursday. I agree, Jackie Evancho is incredible for only being 10!

Me too! My two favorite acts are Prince Poppycock and Fighting Gravity.

She's going to be at the Ravinia Festival outside Chicago in August. I just can't reconcile her voice with her appearance. Apparently she has only been singing for 3 or 4 years and hasn't yet had a lot of vocal training. Where does a kid like that go after being called "the next Susan Boyle"? Is she going to be a flash in the pan, or is she going to have a career in opera or musical theatre? I wonder.

I love the judges on "AGT"! Sharon Osbourne is so encouraging, Howie Mandel doesn't hold back if he really likes an act. Piers Morgan is so serious sometimes but I think he is really supportive of the acts he likes.

My mom and dad were at that concert with friends from church and they said she's really something. I saw a little of her PBS special with David Foster-- I still can't reconcile her appearance with her voice. But I hope there is a bright future in store for her.
