    Giant sinkhole in Guatemala

Tropical Storm Agatha wreaked havoc on Guatemala over the weekend. This sinkhole was caused by torrential rains. While about 150 were killed during the storm, there were no injuries reported from this hole, which swallowed a 3-story building!!

You couldn't dig something as perfectly round as this - if you tried.

That is a humongous hole. We have sink holes around with caves under them but nothing like that.

I saw that and at first thought it must have been photo shopped. It
looks so unreal. The way humans have messed up this planet
I should be used to seeing weird things like this.

Apparently it end in an underground tunnel system for the sewer system and storm runoff, and a sinkhole appeared in the same area in 2007. Thankfully it was on a weekend, and the building was empty.

When winter hits we complain of the freezing cold, when summer comes we complain of the heat, how in the world would we cope with something like this I wonder? At least no one was hurt.
