    Sheeba (my mom's dog)

It is with a heavy, heavy heart I write this.

Saturday afternoon after giving the dogs a treat Sheeba backed their other dog ChiChi into a corner and "attacked" her. At least that's the story that I'm getting. Mom said it had happened before, but only when he just throws the treats out to them.
So my dad being drunk, loaded her into the car and took her hours away from their house and dumped her

My mom called me in hysterics. I was mad because she didn't go after him, because she didn't follow him or make him wait and at least take her to the shelter. It would have been much more humane than dumping her. I would have called the police, he was after all driving drunk. Not knowing if she will starve, be hit by a car, be shot or even be taken in for a fighting dog or bait will haunt me forever.

I can't believe all the horrible thoughts I've had about my dad. I never want to see or talk to him again.

This is a picture of her from when we were there in October of this year.

Before you ask any questions, this is all I know. All I'm asking is that you say a prayer for this sweet girl.

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry Anna. I'll keep Sheeba in my thoughts, maybe someone will find her and turn her in or keep her.

OMG, Anna, I will not say anything bad or comment on the incident other then that it made me sick to my stomach. I am so sorry for Sheeba, your mom, and you. I hope she is found, there's still hope.

    Unhappy

Oh my.... poor Sheeba. That's so horrible. I pray that she will be safe- and maybe a miracle will happen.

Unbelievable! No respect for your dad on this one. I can't believe he'd do a thing like that. Poor girl. I do hope she'll find her way back, or someone will find her and take her in.

I hope your mom contacts animal control, the humane society, etc. Can she figure out from the milage on his truck how far away he went? Does he remember?

How completely awful. Prayers on the way for Sheeba.

    {{{Hugs}}} Anna.

Prayers that Sheeba finds safe refuge.

Try to forgive your Dad - he's suffering from an addictive illness, and
looses control over his actions because of it.

Prayers that your Mom & Dad can work towards his recovery.

I agree with Phred. It is his alcoholism that has caused him to do this. Get him some help as soon as you can. It's what is best for him. You should forgive him even though he did a unforgivable act.

    So sorry about Sheeba.

I hope a kind soul found her and took her in or at least took her to animal control. If she had a collar with ID, I hope this helps someone to return her to your mom.

Poor baby girl. I am so sorry for you to have to deal with an alcoholic dad. I have dealt with alcoholics also. My mother is in ALANON and she's had to deal with a lot of drunks also... We've learned that it's not your dads fault that he does this... it's the alcohol... It has become a sickness and he can't help it now. I know we think they can, but they can't. It's just like someone with cancer, or a disease. He really needs help, and he needs family to stand by him, no matter how hard it is for them.

Wow, I don't mean to sound like I'm preaching... and I DEFINITELY know how hard it is to forgive... my own father threatened a month or two before my wedding not to come because my mother was going to be there... LONG STORY... they're fine now though. >.>

I just hope this pup finds a new home with someone that will care for her... *hugs*

I understand how angry you are with your Father. I have spoken here
about my Dad. He dumped my puppy when I was a kid. I lost all respect for him. It was like he took a knife to my heart.

I do hope Sheeba finds gental hands. Prayers for Sheeba & your family.

Oh Anna, I'm so sorry for your mom & you, having to go thru this. Please remember that Sheeba has a loving Higher Power looking out for her, too. I'll be praying she makes it to a safe haven.

I am sorry Anna, that this happened and that I completely missed it.

Poor Sheeba, she never really had a chance. She seemed like she could have been a really sweet girl under other circumstances.

Lots of thoughts and prayers for your mom.
