Steve McNair NFL Quarterback shot and killed

I know this was posted in the Football thread, but I thought I'd make a separate one for this. Of course, being in Middle Tennessee, this is what is all over the television right now. They are planning a moment of silence as a memorial for tonight along with the fireworks in downtown Nashville. He had just opened a restaurant in North Nashville last month called Gridiron 9.

How sad. From what I read on the Internet news it looks like he was just getting established in his post-football career. Very sad.

I heard them talking in the pre-race show on Sirius about Tennessee Titan, but I missed who. Wow. That is sad. He was a talented QB.

There's going to be a press conference at 9:30 Central. McNair had several gunshot wounds and the young woman with him had one in the head. Autopsies tomorrow.

I'm guessing it was a murder / suicide by his female friend. She probably shot him several times then shot herself in the head. Very sad and senseless.

I'm thinking that you just may be correct. Either way, if he'd been home with his family, that the news keeps reporting that he loved so much, he would still be alive.
