    Cars

Hey just curious what kind of car does everyone drive? or what kind do you want? My first car was my teal blue '95 mustang that I have now and it was like my dream car--what I had always wanted so I don't really want another kind I love the one I have..but what kinds do ya'll drive or what kinds do ya'll want??

My current car is an '07 Chevy colbalt. It's a dark gray four-door with a four cylinder automatic. I love it! There are two cars I'd like to have, both owned by my brother. (1). An original mint 1967 Shelby Mustang, dark blue with a white racing stripe, (2). An all original 1970 corvette convertible, burgundy with a black interior.

I never joined the other thread, so I'll post ours here. (Actual pics of our cars...)

I drive an 03 Nissan Xterra, Atomic Orange. (Off road in Garden of the Gods, Colorado)

J drives one of the following three...

07 Audi S4 (At Garden of the gods)

    01 Isuzu Rodeo

    08 Honda CBR600rr

When she doesn't take the Audi to work, I drive it! Its a wonderful car. So quick with the V8, and its a 6spd.. yum!

Since people are putting their previous cars, I'll add mine.
Parents gave me a 94 Nissan Altima [black]when I turned 16, and I drove that until it had 240k+ miles and sold it. Was still running great then. Was a really hardy car.. Thats for sure! Only had to do $300 of work every 6 months or so. Radiator, Starter, Spark plugs, and one rear brake froze up, but thats it. Bought an 05 Scion tC [black] from J after I sold the Altima. She had put lots of money into it and we showed it a couple times. Really learned to drive a stick once I bought it. =)

Then we talked about moving to CO, so I prepared myself by trading in the tC for the Xterra. But we're still in MO so obviously that was silly...

Cars J's owned... Ford Escort GT [purple], 90 Honda Prelude Si [black], 05 Scion tC [black], 06 Mini Cooper S [pepper white/black], 01 Isuzu Rodeo [black], 02 Lexus IS 300 [blue], 05 BMW M3 [white], and now 07 Audi s4 [black]. She's had an 07 Kawasaki Ninja 250r and now the 08 Honda Cbr600rr as well.. and a 49cc scooter that she won at work... Always something new to keep her attention.

Right now, I have a silver Mazda 6. My son has a silver VW Jetta.

I also have a Ford F150 truck that I inherited when my dad passed away. I've never owned a truck before, and the last American vehicle I had was twenty years ago ... so the big blue truck is certainly a novelty.

I also have the fun little silly car, the 1974 VW Super Beetle. It hibernates in the garage, and comes out for a few "slug bug" trips around town every summer.

I used to have a VW New Beetle, and before that a Mazda Miata. My son used to have a Mitsubishi Eclipse.

I'd like to have a Mini Cooper, actually, but I'm trying to curb what my friend calls my "Mad Car Disease".

Right now I drive a tan Dodge Intrepid and hubby drives a white Chevy Imapa. But we're in the process of buying a Pontiac Montana (yep, I'm becoming a mini-van momma!). Looks like this:

But it's a metallic bluish/gray color. We should have it within the next week. I'm excited about it!

I laughed out loud at that sentence! You sound like J!! She's had 8 cars and 2 motorcycles and she's only been driving 9 years.. She's had a Cooper S, an 06 pepper white w/ black details. It was FUN but the payment was too much for her at the time... Was great to drive in the mountains of CO!

I'd love to have a Jeep (a good ol' off roading free wheeling kind), and at the same time I'd love to have a fun fast little car. Like an Audi Roadster or something similar. Love old Corvettes and Mustangs, too.

BUT...for what I drive...a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid. LOVE this car, we get an average of 45mpg. We can drive all the way home to South Carolina (1000 miles) on 27 gallons of gas. It's fantastic. You're not going to win any races, but man...it's sure nice to only fill up every two weeks.

my bf has a '52 Willys CJ3-a he's working on. It's one his shop class restored back in the 90's in high school. The shop teacher died in '97 and his widow soon moved out of state. Everyone figured the Jeep was long gone until she tracked down my boyfriend last summer and said "it's yours, if you want it". She didn't have a place to keep it anymore and wanted it returned to the students who would really appreciate and take care of it, rather than sell it to a stranger. Although it had been sitting in a garage for ages, we had it running the next day. Got a few mechanical tweaks to fix (supension is worn out) then it's on to repairing the few bad spots in the body. Not looking to do a full-on restoration, just keep 'er running and looking as close to the way the teacher wanted it as possible

the military did not use this model Jeep. The shop teacher attended a military academy and just painted it up army-style. The "serial numbers" actually stand for Columbia Military Academy '56 (year of his graduation).
