LOL, that is too cute. Yeah, I'm curious how this Christmas is going to go with a kitten AND a puppy. I will be sure to take lots of pictures, but I'm sure they won't be as good as the ones of Iris and Fern.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I can give you a tip regarding the puppy.... we put up a fake berry garland and had to take it down because Callie thought it tasted yummy. She kept walking up to the tree, ripping off the garland and eating it while the rest of the string still hung from the tree.

I bought a tree that has all the decorations on the inside so that the cats can't get to them. The lights and bulbs are strung inside; the tree is shaped like a cone. The one I have now is more for outdoors than indoors but who cares. I don't have my tree up yet or I'd post a pic.
    Blessings,
    Mary

I gave up having a tree two years ago. The kittens I was fostering and failed at, kept climbing every branch, knocking all the balls off and anything else they could till only the lights were left. With another failed foster in the house, and this one is a real pistol, I know a tree would not survive Jasmine. My husband has a ton of plants that come in every winter........hmm...there 12 in my living room right now and Jasmine has been in everyone of them. We will just put a few red ribbons on these guys and enjoy.

Fortunately - we can still have a tree - even with cats. When I had my Meezers years ago I stopped using tinsel since that got slurped up like spaghetti, but fortunately "passed thru" with no problem, and I've never used it since. Now that it's only my son's 2 cats and they really take no interest in anything unless it's shiny and breakable, the unbreakable decorations get put toward the bottom, so if they do manage to knock any off, then no harm done. Who said you can't outsmart a cat???

No, Karen, I for one did not know that! Superstars Iris and Fern, former Cats of the Day! I absolutely love their tree decorating photos. My cats lie under the tree among the presents, but that is all they do.

Fern is a little bigger now. They are both adorable.

    LOL,

Tune into the National Geographic channel or the Animal Planet.

Where does a cat ALWAYS get stuck?

Where do the cats of Africa go with their kill to hide from the other predators?

Where does a cat go to hide from another animal?

I have to laugh about the idea of putting a tree into a house full of kitties- I know the most behaved kitties are the exception-but there always are the trouble makers!

Good luck to you all and to Santa also.

Thanks for the Fluffytails link! The Christmas tree saga is hilarious.

When were Fern and Iris our calendar girls?

I then took a look at some of the other pages on their site. I especially like the "Cat Collection" one.. At last, someone with as many cat figurines and other material objects as I have!
