    (For anybody a bit confused - GCSEs are compulsory national exams in the UK, which affect your entry to university, as well as being a critical part of your CV in later life.)

    Thank you!!!

    What makes it even better is that the other two highest achievers are two of my best friends. We had a photo together with our results statements which, when the teacher gets it developed, I'm going to keep in a frame.

    I may have lost out on a lot of time on Pet Talk preparing for these exams, but at least it paid off!

    I officially finished senior school in mid-May, then my exams lasted from about that point to mid-June. Since then, I've been on my summer break. I don't know why the results have to be announced so near to the end of the holidays - I suppose it must take a while for every 5th year student in the country to have their results totted up and compared to the rest of the country!

    I'm due to start Sixth Form College this September and then begin studying for my A level exams. No rest for the wicked!
