Since Sunday Keva has not wanted to eat. If you know Keva, you'd know that she lives for food...she has never refused a meal. I wouldn't be that concerned if it were Nebo, he did that often when he was younger, but Keva just has never been like this. She's never been even remotely picky. If she sees her food bowls she follows me around howling, she loves to eat.
I've bribed her into eating a little bit of dog food by mixing stuff in it...plain yogurt worked the first time, it didn't work this morning so I bought some baby food (ingredients were just ground chicken and apples) and mixed in, which worked. I took her to the vet yesterday and he couldn't find anything wrong with her, other than diarrhea, he gave me some pills to give her for that. She's had diarrhea several times, I seem to get the dogs with sensitive stomachs, and that has never stopped her from wanting to eat before. I think I've only been able to get her to eat 2-3 cups of dog food in 3 days (she normally eats 2 cups per day). She has even refused to eat treats. She has been drinking water fine and has not vomited.
She acts okay most of the time...she's still been playing and wants to go for walks, but other times she just lays around and you can tell she's not feeling that great. All of the other dogs act fine. Earlier she was running around the yard like crazy.Anyway, I hope that its nothing serious, just an upset stomach for some reason or another, I'd appreciate some good thoughts for her, thanks!
